It is my mission to help people realize how easy education and subjects can be. If someone fails a class it is the failing of the instructor not the student. We used to have these values and I am trying to bring them back. Learning is fun and just requires work like anything else. I am trying to make education easy and simple.I am currently seeking to get my MBA from ASU. As such, many of my favorite subjects are business related. I love supply chain management and how it relates to everything in the business field. Understanding how logistics works and how interconnected everything is fascinates me. But as I got my start in mathematics, I try to relate everything to teachable theories that breakdown into simple facts.My tutoring style is often based on this approach. Everything is related as long as you are able to make that connection. I like to take something that seems foreign and break it down into its basic concepts and relate that to something that is familiar. I have found that small victories win wars.Outside of education, I am an avid hiker. I live in one of the greatest states to do it in and I plan on exploring all over. Outside of hiking, I enjoy travelling, beer surfing, couch surfing, and karaoke. If I am not out doing something, I am then snuggled up reading a good book or watching a great movie. I find that people who forget to take pleasure in the simple things in life often find themselves at a lost.

I have spent a majority of my life within an academic environment. Along the way I have acquired a BSBA in Finance and Marketing, a Juris Doctorate, and a Masters in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management. I have worked with several banks ranging from investment to commercial. I have studied financial compliance. I have passed the Florida Bar Examination.I believe in tailoring academia to a specific student(s) needs, strengths, weaknesses, and requirements. Each subject is different, and no two students are alike. Mastering subject matter can be accomplished in several formats, not simply the most commonly used method. A strong foundation and thorough understanding of basic concepts permits the creation of an efficient pathway to more complicated material that can be easily comprehended at each stage.I have recently stepped away from the private sector in an effort to give back to the community that gave so much to me. I volunteer regularly at various organizations. I teach yoga. Now, I have determined that reaching back to my roots in the academia and sharing the knowledge gained can make all the difference in a student's education and enrichment.

I decided that teaching was for me so I went on and received a Masters in Arts of Teaching from Pittsburg State Univerty. In May 2014, I achieved my goal of getting a Masters in Mathematics from Emporia State University. I have taught high school math for 6 years and college level math for one year. I enjoy helping students achieve their goals. I have helped many students in math with their tutoring needs. I am a true Geometry fan at heart but I also enjoy Algebra.

I am from Nashville, Tennessee but have lived in seven different states all over the U.S. I currently attend Brigham Young University and am loving it. I enjoy the one-on-one interaction I get with people when I tutor. Watching people really understand and be excited about learning is what makes it worthwhile for me. The key is to spark the fun and excitement of learning within the student. I have tutored primarily middle and high school students but am comfortable with any age. I took several AP classes, was on the honor roll, and was blessed to receive a full-tuition National Merit scholarship for college. I currently have an open major but am leaning toward a degree in finance or information systems. I am fluent in Spanish thanks to a two-year mission for my church.
