I attended school at University of California, Los Angeles and I have lived most of my life in LA. I enjoy teaching both Math and Physics. Every time that I step into the classroom I become energized even if I am very tired. My enthusiasm and energy are very contagious, and the students leave behind their negative attitudes towards the subjects and get engaged in learning them. At the end, the students come out with a very positive experience after taking the classes. When I am not teaching, I am out playing soccer, hiking, or fishing.

I received my Bachelors from the University of California Santa Cruz in Psychology, graduating Cum Laude. While attending college I had the opportunity to work for the University's Learning Support Services as a tutor and mentor for my fellow students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Women's Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Writing, and Research. Few things are as rewarding to me as helping others to achieve their goals in and out of academia. I find that passing on healthy work and study skills provides the highest long-term success rate for my students, so they can continue being confident learners even when I am not aiding them. In my first two years of teaching I earned a Masters of science in Teaching from Pace University. While teaching, I integrated music, technology, and cooking into the classroom to motivate and inspire my students to develop an understanding of, and passion for mathematics. While teaching, I also began a school store in both of my schools where I used the profits to help fund much needed resources for the schools. My philosophy for working with students is to make their experience, fun, engaging, and meaningful so that they may understand the importance of the concepts that they are learning.After teaching for 5 years I decided I wanted to make more of an impact within communities similar to the ones I worked with. Thus two years ago I returned home to Los Angeles to attend USC's Marshall school of Business. This past summer I graduated from USC with my Master of Business Administration.My favorite subject to tutor is math. Any kind of Math including elementary math, middle school math, and pre algebra.In addition, to loving mathematics, I love music and listen to all types of music. I find it super fun to develop songs around mathematical concepts. While I have taught a broad range of subjects, Biology and Spanish are my passion. In my spare time, I enjoy riding horses, yoga, and hiking.
