I am a tutor specializing in philosophy with competence in other basic logic-related subjects, like algebra and computer science. I am a graduate of Brandeis University, where I received both my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in philosophy. During my time at Brandeis, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to tutor my peers as a Brandeis Undergraduate Group Study tutor. As a peer tutor, I guided fellow students through prepositional and predicate logic problem sets, worked through their arguments for ethics class, and helped edit their philosophy papers. Logic is my favorite to tutor due to its closeness to my personal interest in computer programming. In both cases there are answers to problems that are very much the only correct answer, but there may be many different ways of approaching said answer. This went on until I learned the etymology of the word, (believe me, It does help to know some easy and fun words from their greek, latin, french root) - If you want to ACE anatomy, this is important!Secondly, PHYSIOLOGY! i tried to ignore it, tried my best to get around and just do my own thing. Big mistake. After a while I started to integrate my reading into this magical and beautiful understanding on how or body works. It is a blissfully organized system.Learning pharmacology. Still struggle with that.So... I created stories, characters, songs, mnemotecnics, drawings, mind maps, flashcards.... you name it. I've done it.What works for me is not memorizing but really understanding the concept, apply it in my everyday life.Things started to make sense. It was an enlightment moment when I saw my first patient with Diabetes, I knew everything about it.Genetics, Pathophysiology, Presentation, Workup, Treatment plan and discussing with the patient what it means to have Diabetes. (It was sooo fun! )I would love to help you out during your training, exam week (we call it HELL-WEEK) and provide the tools necessary to help you accomplish your biggest dream (or just pass the exam...)After all of that reading, writing, not sleeping, drinking seven eleven coffee's in the middle of the night, I treat myself with things I am passionate about. I loooove to exercise (yoga, weight lifting, walking, biking, hiking) read good books (not that medical books are not good, but a little bit of Paulo Cohelo wont hurt me) singing, dancing playing the guitar. Laughing, eating, hanging out. The following year, in 2003, he won a Best Make-Up award at the same festival for his 2nd feature, "GABRIELLA." In total, he has written, produced, acted and directed four feature films.He has also co created and produced two internet TV shows: "I'M STANDING HERE," a travel show, and "FOOD AND FUN," a food and entertainment show.In 2007 he created INSIDER MAG RADIO as a supplement to THE INSIDER MAG, a traveler's magazine, which he publishes. This is distributed in airports across the United States.In 2010 he relocated back to the Boston area and began producing INSIDERMAG RADIO from a local studio.In 2011 THE ANTHONY DUVA SHOW starring Anthony and Ashley was created and the show moved to its flagship station WTIM.The radio show was reformatted again in 2012 as THE DUVA SHOW Live with Anthony, produced by Insider Mag Radio.He has also produced Equity Waver Theater in Los Angeles and has written four full length plays.He has written a travel book TRAVELS WITH ZELDA and this is his first book.These days, he he is an ESL teacher and a private in home tutor and currently a doctoral candidate at Northeastern University in Boston.
