Hi, I was born and raised in Ireland and did my undergraduate education there where I got my bachlors in Cell and Molecular Biology. I came to the United States to go to grad school. I attended the University of Notre Dame and attained a PhD in Biology. It was during grad school that I got my love for teaching. Since finishing grad school I have been working as a teacher in various different capacities. At first I taught at the college level where I taught a wide variety of life science subjects. I also have worked for the last few years as a high school teacher. I like high school because I think you get to know students better than you do as a college professor. Getting to know students and helping students individually is why I tutor. As your tutor, I can understand how you learn and work with how you learn. I enjoy teaching any science subject and helping making it relevant to your life.In my spare time, I like to watch sports, including football, basketball and baseball. I enjoy music also and like to go to concerts of a wide variety of artists.

I believe that teaching is the best way to reinforce knowledge and master material. My academic pursuits have made me confident in my abilities to tutor those pursing degrees in social sciences along with those pursuing careers in health care. I fell in love with it after I started college and I plan on specializing in neurorehabilitionation as an occupational therapist.I have many years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities in many settings, including previous tutoring. My individualized interventions in both research projects resulted in increased fine motor skills in children (increasing their independence in daily cares) and successfully preparing adults for independently working in their community.
