Hello, I am a student at UIUC majoring in Physics/Math and with plenty of experience teaching various STEM subjects such as math, science, CS, etc. As a student myself, I understand the many struggles of other students like me and I tailor my teaching styles to meet these needs. As someone who feels very strongly about our current education system, I've become strongly motivated to change the status quo by reaching as many students as I can through tutoring/teaching. As an aspiring physicist, mathematician, or maybe both, I wish to make these subjects fun and interesting like how I perceive them to be, instead of a grueling discipline that students have the get through. Outside of academia, I also love listening to music and have been a musician for the majority of my life.

Hi! My name is Logan and I am a sophomore engineering student at Texas A&M University! I've always had an aptitude for math, and I have prior experience in tutoring. I am proficient in all math levels up to Calculus II, and I enjoy working with students and would love to share my love for math!

I am an undergraduate at Marquette University. I am in the College of Engineering studying Computer Engineering and I hope to minor in Computer Software. I am from Rancho Palos Verdes, California (a suburb south of Los Angeles) where I would tutor high school and middle school students both privately and through the National Honors Society. All of my past experience tutoring experience is with Math, and I have tutored from Pre-Algebra through Calculus 2. Through high school I also had the opportunity to work with 4th and 5th grade students. I volunteered through PressFriends, a program run by highschool students to start writing programs in lower-income elementary schools, where I recorded over 400 hours in 4 years. I am an avid believer of having a strong math based foundation, and quick mental math skills, and will often spend the first 15 minutes of the first session accessing what my client already knows before advancing to the content he or she would like help with. In my free time at Marquette you can find me playing for our club volleyball team, playing Fifa, or exploring downtown; however when back in California I find myself either hiking, at the beach, or hanging out with friends.

My name is Kendall and I am the oldest of four kids. I graduated from Bethel High School and just completed my first year at Northeastern University as an Electrical Engineering major. I am a member of the Honors program, a tour guide on campus, as well as a member of the Society of Women Engineers chapter. I like to read, code, and hike with my dogs. I also enjoy volunteering in my community and working with children.

I am a recent graduate of Bates College, with a B.S. in Math and a teaching certificate for secondary Mathematics. In college I was a peer tutor for writing and math and I spent hundreds of hours in the school system both tutoring and classroom teaching. In addition to the time spent in public schools, I spent the last two summers as a teaching intern at a prestigious independent school in New Hampshire and this fall I taught at an experiential education school in CO, where I mentored students on multiple two-week backpacking trips. It is my belief that learning math is a perfect context in which to learn creative problem solving. In addition to working with students on complete content coverage, I frame problems as a series of open ended questions that lead to the correct answer and develop a rational understanding of the material. When not teaching I am an avid musician, carpenter, backpacker, and skier.

I earned my Master's Degree in Physics at Boston University and went to Pennsylvania State University for my Bachelor of Science in Physics and minor in Mathematics. In graduate school, I was a Teaching Assistant for two years, and I had been teaching several college-level introductory or intermediate physics courses, whether they are labs, discussions or studios style. With my experience, I can ignite the passion of learning using active and engaging teaching methods. Science and technology is my favorite field and I would love to share my expertise with my students. Although Physics is a tough subject, I have gained much respect from students by helping them master physics and mathematics challenges over my teaching career. In the spare time, I often try to learn new recipe in cooking of different culture and experiment on making new cuisines.

I'm a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the Cooper Union with a passion for math. Happy to help with Algebra, Calculus, SAT Math, and perhaps a smidge of Trig, Vector Calculus, and Linear Algebra on the side. :)I've worked in a tutor-like capacity for over two years, helping students in my high school's Learning Commons learn subjects such as Algebra, Trigonometry, and Differential and Integral Calculus. I've also worked with students studying for the SAT and SHSAT.I'd say that I'm a tutor that tries to diagnose and treat issues as quickly as possible by having the student talk through their thought processes while they work. I don't think it's particularly helpful to handhold students through the problems without letting them first take a crack at them by themselves.Looking forward to working with any potential tutees!
