My name is Kasey Hilton. I am a senior at Purdue University studying chemistry and conducting research in the department of chemical engineering. I am also on Purdue's rowing team. My passion is for chemistry but I also enjoy reading and painting.

I am a PhD student in Chemistry at the University of Windsor. I did both my Undergraduate and Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Windsor as well. I also did a year and a half of course/research work at Cornell University. I am interested in the academic field and hope to one day hold a position in the academic world to do groundbreaking research and teach the next generation of students the very fundamentals of Chemistry. Hello I am Jean Pierre Pinto. I am a 31 year old male from NJ with a BA and MS degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University. My interest in Biology started at a very young age due to spending a lot of time outdoors. I am intrigued by the functioning of living organisms and how they are all linked; one small change in one species will affect a whole range of others. I often brought home mice, birds and insects to study their behavior more closely.During my high school education I was more focused on Biology subject than other subjects due to my childhood interests in the things related to life. Due to interests in life sciences I became able to publish three (3) international publications in the field of Biological sciences. After that I started my Doctoral degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and currently I am working on "bioplastic producing bacteria".I like teaching as a profession and I take it as my hobby. I have many relatives related to teaching profession. I started teaching when I was an undergraduate student. I taught Biology to high school students. During my PhD coursework I taught microbiology related courses to undergraduate students for one year. Now I am working with San Jacinto College Central, Pasadena, TX as Microbiology instructor. That is why I want to pursue my professional career as a professor of Biology.

My name is Susie and I am a recent graduate of Swarthmore College with a special major in biochemistry and minor in psychology. I am currently applying to medical school while working at the NIH for a year. During college, I spent a lot of my time tutoring peers and elementary/middle school children in Chester, PA, volunteering at local hospice facilities and at HUP (Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania), and doing research at the Cleveland Clinic. I have also tutored abroad in Korea in standardized test prep like SAT, MCAT, and SAT II. In my free time, I enjoy dancing and cooking, as well as running cross country. Examining the small processes and components in this world has been an intriguing habit of mine since I was in middle school. This passion made me fall in love with biochemistry in high school. Studying human metabolic pathways, including chemical reactions and cell communication, perfectly fulfilled my passion for understanding how smaller and simple processes work in conjugation with each other to create an intricate and fully functional larger organism.Now, I am a Biochemistry major at Tufts University, and I have aspirations to attend medical school after my undergraduate studies. This environment at Tufts helped develop my passion in the sciences and made me a more well-rounded person. I enjoy serving as a mentor, whether it includes tutoring or simply giving advice. My tutoring style focuses on identifying where the thought process becomes cloudy when a student looks at a problem or standardized test. I target this thought process and ask questions to guide the student to think about a better way to approach the problem. This way, the student is able to come up with the answer rather than have me tell them how to solve it properly. I mentored 5th and 6th graders when I was finishing up middle school and served as a mentor for freshmen in high school. At Tufts, I am also a mentor for premedical students and have thoroughly enjoyed every encounter I've had within these experiences.
