I love helping people learn new things! I have a BA in liberal studies (my study areas were politics and communication), a BSBA in accounting, and a Master of Public Administration. I am also pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology at Grand Canyon University. I am also studying for my CPA license exams. My research area is remote work and employee well-being.I work full-time as a nonprofit accountant and I am a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional. I believe in meeting students where they are at and giving them the tools they need to succeed.

I graduated from Rutgers Business School in the top 15% of my class, with my degree in Economics and Accounting. I have always been an overachiever and throughout my studies, I have been a source of knowledge for my peers and have taken a genuine interest in their success. I like to tutor because I get a great sense of achievement in knowing that I am helping a student get a better understanding of difficult material.I can teach courses in business, such as accounting, finance, production management, etc., but I mostly enjoy teaching courses in economics, statistics, and math, because they are at the core of many business programs, and I think that it is very important to get a solid understanding of the basics before moving on to more advanced or technical courses.My overall goal is for students to better understand their coursework, but more importantly I want to teach students to think outside of the box, be better problem solvers, and enjoy the learning process.

I am a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Marketing Communications with Magna Cum Laude distinction; I focused on Public Relations, Entrepreneurship, and Event Planning. During my final year at FIT, I worked full-time at Viacom's BET Networks as a Corporate Communications Intern and was hired on as a Publicity Coordinator immediately following my graduation. I received three promotions in three years at the media powerhouse and as Lead Mentor with Viacom's UP Mentoring program, I guided young professionals on their own career journeys. Since leaving BET Networks, I have gone on to represent and counsel top business leaders, A-list celebrities, and a diverse range of talent and professionals in Business Communications; all while elevating others in my community through education.While I have worked with students and mentees on a broad range of subjects, I am intensely passionate about English, Literature, Business, and all forms of Writing. I don't consider any student to be "struggling" rather, I work to boost their overall understanding and real-world application of subjects on which we collaborate. I love to learn and I feel learning is lifelong - it's important to me to meet students where they are in their educational journey and help them to move along with confidence.Outside of work, I am a voracious reader. I also enjoy painting, writing, playing the piano, and creating fashion designs.

I am a Jersey native and recent graduate of Rutgers University with a BS in Public Health. In college, I tutored middle school students in math and language arts at New Brunswick Middle School. I became very familiar with each student's learning style and leveraged their own strengths to maximize their learning curve and encourage academic development. Informally, I have also taught my fellow peers advanced math concepts they were struggling with in intermediate-level college math. Since graduation, I traveled to Thailand to take part in an ongoing public health project and taught English to elementary school children and health care workers. Although I am well adept in a variety of subject areas, Math and English are my two strong suits. There is no singular right way to learn, and there are as many strategies as there are people in the world. Therefore, as a tutor, my own personal hallmark lies in empowering students to actively use innovative learning methods to grasp even the most challenging of concepts.
