Dr. Acheson is currently a member and manuscript reviewer for Healthcare Financial Management Associations (HFMA) publication hfm.Dr. Acheson teaches HA520 Healthcare Administration Finance & Economics; and is the Lead Faculty member for HA520. Dr. Acheson is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) Finance for the Health Care Administration (HCA) department.

In middle school, I helped explain the process of long division to one of my friends. Ever since then, I have loved helping others when it comes to academics. I peer tutored all through high school, and I am so glad that Varsity Tutors has given me the opportunity to continue my passion.I attended Rice University in Houston for undergrad, and I was a Biochemistry and Cell Biology major. I specialize in biology, chemistry, and standardized test tutoring. I am a medical student at OU right now, and I hope to one day join Doctors Without Borders to help set up free clinics in underprivileged countries and teach people about how to live a happy and healthy lifestyle.In my free time, I love to read, write, watch TV, and dance!

It's not boring. Really! I like to teach and talk about U.S. History, Economics, and U.S. Government. In fact, ALL of those fit together. don't they?? I believe our history helps explain how and why things are the way they are today. When people say "How did this happen?" or "Why do we do it this way"? or "the Electoral College...?", I want to talk about it and explain how it happened, or why we do it, or what the Electoral College is all about. Yes, I watch the News (too much) and try to figure out what's going on - and why. They Why is important! I'll enjoy working with students and talking through important issues of the day.

I care about not just my future but the future of our world. That starts with education and finding what you are passionate about. It could be anything and the world would still be a better place because you found it.

Hello, my name is Jennifer Gonzalez. I have been an educator since 2008. I enjoy working with many different students in the areas of English, English as Second Language, and Spanish. I will take the time to see what a student needs and use my skills help them learn.I have taught Spanish 1 in High School and ESL in Elementary School. I have also served as a bilingual translator/interpreter and parent advocate.My Spanish is very fluent. I can read, write, and speak at university level, as my major was Spanish when I got my certification to teach Secondary Education Spanish. I hope to work with you soon!

I love history, English literature, and anthropology. I received a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master's degree in History from the University of Tulsa. I am currently a History Instructor at Tulsa Community College and an in-house tutor at the YMCA. Previously, I worked at the Department of Human Services, advocating for children who lived in foster care. I have taught English in a group home in Colombia, in a school in Ghana, and in an office building in Wales. I am certified to teach English as a second language. I have also taught history and civics to adults who are working on getting their American citizenship. I love learning and I love to help other people learn. My philosophy is that I'm here to walk alongside students as they gain the skills and find their best path to knowledge!

As a graduate of Visitation Academy in St. Louis and a proud student of the University of Tulsa, I have always prioritized education in my own life and hope to do the same for others. I majored in Biology with a minor in Psychology and hope to attend veterinary school in the fall, so I do possess a medical background. I love everything to do with biology and am open to all disciplines of that science; along with biology, I am a proficient writer and would be glad to assist anyone struggling with essay writing or needing help with literature analysis. When tutoring, I try to emphasize the most important aspects of a subject and then narrow the focus on critical points so as not to overwhelm the student. I enjoy using mnemonics and wordplay to help ease the burden of memorization that is so often affiliated with biology and I understand any frustration a student may have with the subject. I also have helped friends and siblings with essays of all types and am happy to help anyone willing to strengthen their writing. I have a pretty flexible schedule and am open to students of all ages.
