I have been currently working as a professional tutor for a little over a year but I have been tutoring for a lot longer than that. I remember tutoring my kid sister for the past couple of years in subjects such as Algebra, History, Chemistry, etc. Finally, in her senior year of high school, I still cherish the moments when she asks for my help. Over the past couple of months I have been tutoring at a place in Allen and I love every moment of it. During the course of that time I have been able to establish a great relationship with all my kids. I love seeing their smiles when they tell me they were able to ace a test in school due to my help. Tutoring and mentoring kids is honestly the best job I have ever had.I am currently a junior at the University of Texas at Dallas where I am working on a BS Health Care Administration and Biology. I hope to eventually have a job coordinating departments within a health care clinic or even a hospital. I specialize mostly in on-level or pre-AP Biology and Chemistry as well as Algebra but feel confident teaching subjects such as History and AP Biology.I hold myself to a high standard and I will hold my students to the same standards I hold myself. I will not only try to teach the concepts, I will teach critical learning skills so my students can take the knowledge they acquired and apply it to other classes as they move through their school career.

I have been a mentor for SAIM applicants for 5 years and serve on many committees with AIMVT, AVECCT, and TVMA.I am currently full-time faculty at Cedar Valley College in the veterinary technology program teaching pharmacology and clinical pathology 2 online and radiology and intro to vet tech lab on-campus. Prior to starting at CVC in the Fall of 2017 I worked on numerous small animal clinics in the DFW area in general, emergency, and specialty practices. As a math educator, I make math interesting by using energy and enthusiasm to teach ideas while guiding students along a path where each new concept is a natural consequence of the previous and a natural precursor to the following.
