PERSONAL: I am a mother of five (5) children and two (2) grandchildren. My husband and I are truly blessed. I try and wake up each day with a positive attitude. It helps that I have four framed pictures that say courage, perseverance, determination, and destiny to begin my day. I love to read, do crafts, and outdoor activities.MISSION: When I moved to New Mexico 17 years ago, I obtained employment in a school so I could work around my children's schedule. I surely didn't expect to fall in love with my job and have a burning passion to teach. So...at 37 years of age, I returned to college to get my degree in order to fulfill my dream...of being a teacher. I have been a teacher ever since.EXPERIENCE: I have taught Kindergarten, 9th and 10th grade, and 2nd grade. 2nd grade is by far my favorite. I am grade level chair and the liaison with the NM Public Education Department. I am a Level III teacher with National Board Certification. As an educator my passion is to help students overcome their fear, struggle, and difficulty with mathematics. I see the struggle and I dealt with it myself as a student. My passion is building confidence in students while helping them to make sense of the mathematics.

As a Biochemistry and English double major who graduated from Hillsdale College, I am well-versed in a number of subjects and would love to tutor you in mathematics or science or help you to become more proficient as a reader and writer in the humanities.I love exploring and adventures, and I believe that some of the best exploring can happen in the world right around you. All of creation is filled with such wonder! Oftentimes, your subject matter at school is filled with fascinating aspects that you have yet to uncover; my tutoring style reflects that notion--I will guide you to a place where you then will have all of the tools to take the next step forward, but I will not do that for you. I am a graduate of the prestigious Colorado School of Mines. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics. I also have a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Engineering. As an environmental professional, I am passionate about educating people about the need to be good stewards of this beautiful planet. This passion is only matched by my desire to help students conquer their fear of math. I enjoy working with students to solve problems in various aspects of mathematics, including: Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Calculus. I also enjoy helping students with Chemistry problems. I have been helping students for two decades now, and I am still as enthusiastic today as I was when I started. It's one of the most fulfilling things anyone can do.

I am a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in NM. My speciality is in outpatient orthopedic PT and I am an anatomy nerd. I've enjoyed being a PTA clinical instructor.I have a Ph.D. in Microbiology from UW-Madison. I've mentored and supervised several interns and research assistants in infectious disease research.I've taught yoga and breath work for 7 years (with a 20 year personal practice). I am passionate about the benefits of yoga and meditation and am pleased to see mounting experiential evidence thereof.I enjoy teaching to all ages and abilities in the sciences.

Having graduated from Lipscomb University with my bachelor's in Computer and Electrical Engineering, I have several years of experience studying and implementing engineering and mathematics concepts. While in college, I worked with students in various subjects, including physics, college algebra, calculus, chemistry, and engineering-specific courses. I love to tutor mathematics and physics, for it is in these subjects that the foundation of engineering is built upon. I also enjoy teaching problem solving to students! I have a passion for helping others understand material that is difficult or foreign to them, and I work hard to try and make the time I have with students meaningful and effective. I am currently a graduate student at Vanderbilt University pursuing my PhD in Electrical Engineering. My hobbies include singing, gardening, playing piano, and computers/robotics.

I have known since the age of 7 that my passion is mathematics. I guess some would consider me to be a math "geek" since I love numbers and I love all levels of mathematics. I even solve problems in my sleep! Scary, huh?! I have taught and tutored secondary and post-secondary students for 40+ years. I want to help all students experience academic success in mathematics by building self-confidence in problem solving.My hobbies and interests include reading murder mysteries, guest services, singing, walking, traveling, and entertaining.
