I bring a unique blend of academic excellence and professional expertise to tutoring, with three advanced degrees, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (graduating magna cum laude and third in my class), a Master's in Computer Science specializing in Cognitive Artificial Intelligence, and an MBA in Finance with a focus on investment analysis. My academic journey began with tutoring my younger siblings in Math and Science, which grew into leading study groups of up to 50 students across grades 612. Over time, I expanded my teaching to college-level Physics, Mathematics, and Applied Mechanics, helping students connect complex theories to real-world applications.Throughout graduate school, I served as a teaching and research assistant, tutoring freshmen and sophomores in core subjects such as Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, and Physics. My teaching philosophy is rooted in Educational Essentialism, a structured, progressive approach that equips students to master increasingly difficult concepts while preparing them for higher academic and intellectual challenges. Recognized for academic excellence, including receiving the CITGO Graduate Student Award, I emphasize critical thinking and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom. In addition to academic tutoring, I bring more than 20 years of professional experience in finance, engineering, and data-driven problem solving. I am proficient in QuickBooks, financial modeling, and exam preparation for competitive assessments such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, SHSAT, and FINRA licensing exams (SIE, Series 7, and Series 79). Whether guiding a high school student through Calculus or helping a professional prepare for a finance certification, I create a personalized, engaging learning environment where students build confidence and achieve measurable results.

I have been tutoring math, science, and test prep for over 10 years. I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Clark University, completed the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program at Bryn Mawr College, and I am currently completing my medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. I plan to train as an Emergency Medicine physician. I love working with kids, teens and adults to help break down concepts and build up confidence. My favorite subjects are math and physics, and I enjoy sharing tips and strategies for standardized tests like the SAT or MCAT. I focus on building strong foundations and understanding concepts before diving into solving problems. I help my students see that, with a little guidance, they can get themselves to the answer. Together, we can make your least favorite subjects fun! My hobbies include salsa dance and googling pictures of puppies.

Over many years of teaching and tutoring physics and mathematics, I have found that having a constructive and Socratic dialog with a student is one of the best ways to help him or her learn the material and be able to solve problems independently. A Socratic dialog is one in which the instructor or tutor asks guiding questions to help a student think about the next step in solving a problem, rather than having the instructor just solve the problem for the student. In my opinion, one of the best ways to truly understand anything is to do it yourself, and a tutor can serve as the "guide on the side" to make this happen more efficiently for the student who might be having trouble. Using this method myself with many students over the years has been very fruitful for them, and I have been overjoyed to receive thank-you notes from appreciative students, sometimes many years after I have tutored them. To me, this is one of the best things in life!

I will be graduating from NYU in December of 2020 with a degree in Applied Physics and am currently looking to establish myself as a tutor in the NYC area. I have been tutoring for roughly a year and a half for a few families and have experience teach at multiple different levels. I find a lot of satisfaction in tutoring. One of the best feelings is helping a student and seeing that moment when everything finally starts to click. In my free time, I like to watch TV and explore the city with my friends.

The smartest thing Albert Einstein ever said, with all due respect to his many accomplishments, is, "If you can' explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." That phrase has served as the model of my education and instruction. If I know it, I can teach it. Luckily, I have had the opportunity to learn a great many things quite well enough.I have been tutoring peers and pupils in excess of 10 years. Teaching others is an activity I have naturally found to be rewarding, challenging and a lifelong pursuit. I have been helping others starting with my older brother's math homework in seventh grade, to getting friends through the AP Physics test, and finally, to this day, helping my mom with fractions while she bakes. In more recent years, I have been thoroughly engaged with tutoring during my college career. I have served as a tutor for a number of courses and subjects, both privately and in groups. I was a member of the Math Mentor program, instructing and testing multiple classes on fundamental mathematical skills. I have served as a Teacher's and Lab Assistant for several physics courses, both introductory and high level. In addition, I spent a year as a live-in Learning Assistant in a Freshman Residence Hall teaching study skills, time management, and other learning techniques. When it comes down to it, if it has to do with math, science or computers, I can help you learn it in your own way and in your own time.

I currently attend Rutgers University and am pursuing a major in Cell Biology and Neuroscience as well as in Economics. Though I have tutored in numerous subjects, I enjoy teaching Math and Science the most as I am passionate about these subjects. I have also had a great deal of experience in taking and preparing for AP subjects. I strongly believe in giving my students the tools to tackle problems, which allows them to be able to figure out future issues on their own.

Hi! I attended high school at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a Distinguished Bachelor's in Neuroscience. As a medical student at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, I am excited to provide growing students with the unique perspectives on typically difficult STEM subjects that I have learned myself over the past few years. I am deeply passionate about mentorship and teaching, and am excited to use the experience I have gained as a teaching assistant, mentor, and preceptor throughout college. I am most adept in biological, chemical, and physical sciences, and am also passionate about helping with college/medical school admissions and admissions exams (SAT, ACT, MCAT).

I have studied science and math for 12 years (high school, undergraduate, medical). I am a former doctor who left medicine to start a business in healthcare innovation. I enjoy tutoring very much in addition to my business and my schedule is very flexible.I have worked with children and adults of all ages, and find that the key to learning is making the material relatable to the student. Each student learns in his or her own way, thus the tutoring must be tailored specifically for each student.I look forward to working with you or your child and help foster a positive and productive learning environment.

I'm currently a math and physics major at MIT and I've had several years of practice teaching math to high school students. I like to emphasize completely understanding a concept patiently in a way the student would enjoy learning, over blind memorization of facts and formulas.
