I am current master's student pursuing an advanced degree in environmental engineering. I have about 3 years of experience tutoring a standard math and science curricula to students ranging in age from 7-17. I attended college at Washington University in St. Louis receiving a degree in mechanical engineering and energy engineering in 2020. During my time there, I worked as a teaching assistant for several different engineering courses, tutoring students outside of class in the calculus and physics related topics. As someone that benefitted greatly from tutors and teaching assistants, I really love being able to help students that are struggling in certain areas. I am able to help with standardized tests, focusing on math and science sections, AP Calculus and AP Physics exams, and high school math.

I am an undergraduate of the Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. I have years of experience tutoring and teaching math and various sciences from an elementary to a college level. I primarily tutor college level courses such as physics and biochemistry, but also have extensive experience in social sciences, biology, and higher mathematics such as Calculus and Differential Equations. I believe that demonstrating the various real-world applications of a given concept is the best method to increase a student's understanding.

Learning a new subject is an exciting journey, and I am passionate about tutoring because I get to help students along that path. Tutoring allows me to witness students connect with material and have those "Ah-ha!" moments.Throughout my school career I would collaborate with my classmates to tackle particularly tough material. I have naturally been drawn to helping others and have often found myself on both sides of the tutoring relationship. So, I can give students instruction empathically and patiently.I graduated from VCU with a Bachelor's of Science in Physics in 2016. While I was there I led a lab class where I worked with individuals and small groups of students, helping them to understand and use physics and math concepts. My style of tutoring is like a discussion. By asking questions, I teach the student how to think through problems and come up with their own methods to approach problems.Outside of tutoring, I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, and trying new things. My dog helps me with some of those things.

I am a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Molecular and Cell Biology and minored in chemistry. During my time at UPenn, I had the pleasure of serving as a mentor for a College Achievement Program, where I utilized my time to help my pre-med and engineering students face their science courses, among other things. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology and Chemistry. My experience of preparing for the MCAT exam (and scoring in the 94th percentile) motivated me to help other students struggling to prepare for this Standardized Test. I am very passionate about learning and obtaining knowledge and believe it to be absolutely necessary in order to thrive in every aspect of your life; therefore, I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students with patience and dedication.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Physics with a focus on Astrophysics, I also have a degree in Chemistry. While in college I tutored Physics and Calculus and after I graduated I traveled to Russia to get my certificate to Teach English as a Second language and also to teach adults, teenagers and small children where I was also able to teach a Spanish class. I spent the summer in a summer camp in Turkey where I help teenagers and kids with their everyday life and activities in English. While I love Physics and Math, I am tutoring several Math topics, such as, Algebra, Calculus, Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus and also Spanish and English. I must say my favorite topic to tutor is Calculus because it helps you understand and analyze different problems in a very different way.I like helping students because I don't think they should feel like they can't accomplish something because they don't understand a topic very well, they should be able to accomplish everything they want and since education is very necessary nowadays to have the life they want to have.It is truly amazing to help people follow their dreams. In my free time, I love learning and practicing new languages and reading about Space and the different cultures around the world.

When it comes to tutoring, my philosophy is that learning should be fun, or at least as painless as possible. My background primarily involves helping liberal arts students experience math and science in a way that makes sense to them. In high school, I struggled with math and science classes and believed that I would never be good at them. After a break of several years, I'm currently in the middle of an undergraduate in Applied Mathematics. I was fortunate enough to have a paradigm shift in the way I perceived myself and the world around me and love getting to share the good news with others: people who prefer reading and making music and art can also do great in their other classes, especially when the math and science is presented the right way.In my free time I like to spin, knit, sew and translate Latin and Old English. I also enjoy comparing the folklore of various cultures, writing music and collecting trivia.

I am an incoming college sophomoore studying Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I was one of the top scholars at Carmel High School in Indiana and have various experiences teaching and tutoring through leading the Carmel High School Science Olympiad team to Nationals for two years in a row. Many of my friends consistently come to me for help with various subjects because of my willingness to help and teach in a way that makes sense to everyone. My specialities are physics, chemistry, math, and economics but I am comfortable tutoring any STEM subject, the SAT, and the ACT. Some of my accomplishments include a perfect 36 ACT score, 800 on the Physics, Math Level 2, and Chemistry SAT subject tests, and a 5 on all the physics, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Macroeconomics, Computer Science, etc. AP exams. When teaching, I focus on making sure that not only do students understand different concepts, but also that students understand why and practical applications of the different concepts. As a recent high school graduate, I have a deep understanding of how high-schoolers think, what is covered in various courses now, and can connect with my students a lot more. Additionally, as an undergraduate teaching assistant at the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, I taught weekly recitation sections of 30 students and held weekly office hours. Therefore, I have lots of experience teaching and working with students.
