I am studying Chemical Biology in UC Berkeley. One of my passions is Organic Chemistry, which I used to loath but now enjoys after taking a year of it. Also, because I like helping others, I enjoys tutoring/teaching students who are struggling. During high school, I have tutored other high students after school on various subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Latin. During college, I have held informal review sessions for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry for my underclassmen. I tutored my roommate and one of my underclassmen in Organic Chemistry. Finally, with a Graduate Student TA, I co-taught a Organic Chemistry Lab class section , where I answer questions regarding lab material and demonstrate lab techniques. I am a graduate of Skyline High School in Sammamish Washington. I am working on a BS in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with minors in Statistics and Education. I am currently a student at Stony Brook University working on my BS in Health Science. Previously, I attended the Bronx High School of Science and graduated with honors. I am also certified as an EMT. I have tutored students from both middle school and high school and have work as a TA for multiple summers. I am able to tutor admissions tests such as the SHSAT and SAT as well as many topics such as biology, chemistry and more. I find that SHSAT and SAT are the most fun to tutor because of how straightforward most of the questions are. I earned my bachelors in Biology and Masters of Business administration from Grand Canyon University. I will soon have a Masters of Education from The University of Texas at Austin and am in my final year of medical education for my Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.). I am currently applying for residency positions across the country and may one day be your doctor. I am deeply and profoundly interested in the psychology of human interactions and found that business management (Applied psychology) was one of the greatest ways for me to leverage my love of human interactions and the way that they work together as both a field to learn and teach in.

I first discovered my passion for teaching while running statistical analysis and data science workshops for my undergraduate consulting group. When I realized that we could improve the quality of the work we did for our clients by including rigorous data analysis, I made it a priority to help my fellow consultants develop the skills they needed to use these tools. In this context, I developed workshop plans for individual project teams, teaching consultants both the conceptual foundations of the tools we'd be working with and how to apply them with statistical computing software to their data set. My work has helped students on a wide variety of project teams not only provide quality analysis to their clients, but also develop an interest in statistical techniques.I have a passion for mathematics and statistics, and I believe that anyone can learn to use these tools to answer interesting questions in a wide variety of subject areas. I care deeply about helping students understand how math and statistics can be interesting and useful, and how they can leverage their own ways of thinking to motivate intuition about these topics.
