I am a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and Boston College. Currently, I am a practicing legislative and policy attorney. I am a committed government attorney, who has dedicated many long hours to reading and understanding the American system of government, the organization of state and federal political institutions, and the U.S. and Massachusetts Constitutions. I have had the honor of serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy, where I reviewed the legal writings of over forty law students in areas ranging from Constitutional and Criminal Law to Employment Discrimination and Bankruptcy Law. I have a deep appreciation for American history, and believe in the guiding words of Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes when he said that "a page of history is worth a volume of logic." I also love getting outdoors and hiking in the Middlesex Fells Area, and coaching youth basketball. I am an avid movie goer, Netflix subscriber, and a diehard Boston Celtics, B.C. and New England Patriots fan. As a teacher, I believe in keeping things conversational and adaptable. I believe that talking things out and understanding the "why" of history, political science, law, and government will go miles in being able to nail down details like dates and names.

I have also previously participated in Mock Trial, Speech, Knowledge Bowl, Theater, and Band, where I played the alto saxophone. Last year, I volunteered as a tutor for SquashBusters in Boston, and I just started volunteering as an extracurricular teacher for Citizen Schools.I became a tutor for Varsity because I love being able to guide students towards success. Education is the cornerstone of our nation and our future, and if students are struggling, they absolutely deserve the help that a tutor can give them. I do not believe in teaching directly towards standardized tests; rather, I believe in giving students abilities that they can use not only to get high scores, but to help them develop stronger, more well-rounded skill sets. Things like grammar or writing skills are useful in any field, and I would love to inspire a student who hates math, as I once did, to embrace it and even study it in college. I am a recent graduate of Cornell University. I graduated from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at Cornell with a Bachelor’s in Science. I majored in Biology with a concentration in Molecular and Cell Biology. I am currently working in medical research here in New York and am planning on applying to MD and MD/PHD programs. I have worked in many different study group environments and I believe that putting topics and ideas into the proper context makes the information easier to process as well as more memorable to the student. I have seen this in everything from US History to biology and truly believe this is the best way to fully understand and grasp new concepts. My down time consists of a lot of physical activity, whether that is in the form of going to the gym or playing ice hockey and soccer. I find staying physically active is a great way to balance the academic challenges in my life and allows for me to have a productive escape whenever I need one.
