I have always loved math so when I went to college, a degree in engineering seemed like the perfect choice. After college I worked in the aerospace industry for 10 years as a systems engineer on several satellite programs. Although I enjoyed my job, I wanted to spend more time with my family. It was...

I graduated from Ohio State University, with my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and I earned my Master's in Chemical Engineering from New Mexico State University. I have been a tutor since my sophomore year at Ohio State University where I tutored in all levels of Calculus. In my junior year, I lead Ohio State's Math Stats Learning Center Calculus sessions. As a graduate student, I guest lectured and held a teaching session for the Chemical Engineering Computer Calculations class, where I was afforded the chance to use calculus and differential equations to help students solve problems on MATLAB. My favorite subject to tutor is Math because I like the way numbers work and I like translating words to numbers. Math helps me broaden my thinking. My tutoring style is to talk to my students, let them know my expectations and motivate them to do things they would not have thought of doing. When I am not studying, I love to work out and challenge my body. I do love to watch YouTube videos, specifically music videos from the 90's and before. I like to socialize with my friends and relax around downtown areas of smaller cities.

As of May 2021, I am a graduate of the University of Akron, with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. Beginning in August of 2021, I will be attending Ohio University - Heritage College of Medicine in hopes of becoming an osteopathic physician. My background in engineering provides a strong base in mathematics (from algebra through calculus), while my interest in medicine creates plenty of knowledge in science courses. I have experience in nearly every science course at the collegiate level, including labs. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy working out in a local CrossFit gym and cycling outdoors. I have recently (pre-COVID) travelled to Italy and I can speak Hungarian fluently. I look forward to being able to assist with your coursework any way possible!

In the past, I have had various experiences working with students to tackle their academic challenges. In high school, I worked at a center where I used to help students from the second to sixth grade improve and build reading, writing, and math skills. Furthermore, during summer of 2013, I served as a volunteer teacher at a school for children with learning disabilities in Chennai for two weeks. I created fun activities focused on improving basic math and reading skills, collaborated with other instructors, motivated students, and led one on one classes during the afterschool program. Also, in high school, I was briefly a tutor for geometry, chemistry, and calculus AB.Currently, I just finished my first year of college at Saint Louis University (SLU). I am premedical student who is majoring Biology, and I am seriously considering pursuing a second major in Anthropology. I have recently been accepted to work as a lecture assistant for the Principles of Biology class at SLU next fall. In that position, I will be expected to help ease the freshman transition into this rigorous college science course by answering questions and helping facilitate discussions in class.I have really enjoyed my past tutoring/teaching experiences. I am a great tutor because I truly believe that all students have the capability to overcome academic obstacles, I enjoy working with other students, and I have been successful in all of my most difficult high school and college classes. I have a passion for learning, and I would love to share that passion with other motivated students.

Hi! I'm an engineering student from Georgia Tech, and I love to teach. In high school, I participated in numerous math competitions such as AMC/AIME and ARML and led my schools math team for 2 years. My style of teaching involves prioritizing intuition and understanding over memorization. It's imperative for you to know WHY something is important over how to do it. I also will often teach the same concept in different ways depending on how you like to learn best.My goal as an instructor is to get to know you as a person before I jump in with formulas, equations, and definitions. In addition to math, I also like to teach physics, test prep, and video/audio editing.

I believe I can teach mathematics to anyone who wants to learn it, for whatever reason. The motivation is the most important factor. I happen to love the subject, and this just means that I enjoy talking about it and communicating about it. Mathematics is about knowing what you know, and knowing what you do not know - what could be more important than that?

I am current student at The Ohio State University pursuing a degree in Chemistry. I consider a very enthusiastic tutor and highly motivated. I have been tutoring Chemistry and Math at the college level for 5 years now at OSU through the university. I also have experience tutoring elementary school through high school age students in variety of subjects from Math to English to Science.I have a real passion for learning and teaching. I believe that every student is different and needs to find what works for them. I believe that teaching students study skills and other specific learning tools that help succeed in the classroom is just as important as the material itself. I have found the students with a strong foundation in the basics and fundamentals have the most success because they something solid to build from. I am also a strong advocate of allowing students to work their way through problems step-by-step rather than providing the answer for them. My teaching strategy generally involves ensuring the basic foundation is strong and then helping students work through more concepts with helpful and constructive guidance.Outside of tutoring I really enjoy reading, music, theatre, going to the gym, and watching every superhero movie out there. I appreciate finding time for hobbies outside the classroom as much as I value the classroom itself. As a tutor I hope bring enthusiasm and passion for learning to everyone I can.

I graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. I have 15 year of corporate experience as a engineer, scientist and marketing manager. I miss getting to do science on a daily basis and would like to help students in high school and entry level college course master these topics.I have experience teaching at the middle school and high school level. I prefer to work with high school students and entry level college students. I have 4 years of tutoring experience at the college level.I think physics is phun. Yes, I made a horrible pun but it is nonetheless true. I enjoy helping students master complex skills to make seemingly difficult problems easy. I have a deep knowledge of physics and math (the language of physics). I can help students by showing them a variety of ways to approach problems and how to break down the problem into smaller steps.Math is the language of physics. I took 4 years of mathematics at the college level, fram calculus through mathematical physics.I graduated with a degree in both Applied Physics and Philosophy. I spent the first 8 years of my corporate career as an engineer and senior scientist applying physic daily to help manufacture computer ships.I look forward to working with students to help them learn how fun science and math can be. I am available weekdays, nights and weekends throughout the greater Austin area and online.
