I am a graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelors in Mathematics. As a Mathematics for Single Subject Teaching major, I am able to utilize several different methods to help you learn the material. I'm not a boring tutor and I absolutely hate going ONLY by the book. I'll use real world examples and show you unique ways to remember any steps for any problems you are facing. You will learn the process of thinking, not just solving.Instead of showing you how to do one single problem at a time, I will show you different ways to look at a problem and figure out the best approach to solve it.I am also bilingual since Spanish is my first language. I can read, speak, and write in Spanish very well and that is another tool I have at my disposal if necessary for explaining any types of concepts.

I believe that the best in people is brought about only when an opportunity for learning opens new doors, inspires new adventures and let's in new possibilities. Without these new vistas can never be reached, doors will remain closed and people will shun new possibilities. Therefore, in striving to be the best you can be, you can open yourself up to the possibility of who you will be. Belief in oneself inspires the passion to consider the self as a means of your own transformation. Therefore, when striving to follow my passion for mathematics, the arts or the sciences, I use a multifaceted approach to learning. Whether more traditional or more progressive, I can lecture and lead or simply allow for your learning to unfold via engaging conversation with the material. When you can bring your enthusiasm, interest and love of the subject material, then teaching you how to hone these skills into a career or passion project you may be working on will be a door wide open. Will you open it?

I am a PhD student studying marine biology at Stony Brook University, where I study how plankton (very small animals in the ocean) move around and catch food. Before coming to graduate school, I did my undergraduate degree in Biology at Tufts University in Medford/Somerville, MA. My hobbies include knitting, running, and, of course, reading!Another one of my long-term interests is education. I worked with preschoolers for a full year in college through an AmeriCorps literacy program in low-income preschools. Later, I worked as a teaching assistant for five semesters (three as an undergraduate, and two as a graduate student), teaching biology, chemistry, and environmental science. Most recently, I worked at a local tutoring center with students ages 7-16, tutoring reading/writing, English, and math. I have also worked with several high school and undergraduate student research volunteers in the lab.My favorite subjects are math and science, but I also love reading, writing, and French! I spent five months living in France during my undergraduate degree, and I speak near-fluent French. I love working with kids and young adults, and I'd be happy to work with you to develop study strategies and learn new things!

My love for math has led me to gain a bachelor's in math from the University of Florida and a master's in applied math from George Washington University. Furthermore, I have previous tutoring experience dating back to when I was in Math Honor Society in high school plus I have been a graduate teaching assistant for 2 years. So, trust me when I say I understand how hard math can be. But, that does not mean it is impossible. I genuinely believe that anyone can be good at math. You just need time and proper guidance. My goal is for every student I work with to leave with more confidence in their mathematical abilities. You can do it. There is no doubt in my mind.I tutor Algebra and Calculus 1. When I tutor, I like to adapt to whatever the student needs. Do you want to work together on a problem? I can do that. Do you need me to do an example, let you work on your own, and then check your answer? I can do that too. I want to help to the best of my abilities.Pronouns: She/Her

Hi! I'm Praneet, a fourth-year medical student at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, applying into plastic surgery and preparing to start residency later this year. I've been through the intense journey of pre-med, medical school, and standardized exams, so I understand the challenges students face. My goal is to make learning engaging and effective, helping students build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Honors Biomedical Sciences and a Minor in Medicine and Society. With years of tutoring experience in science subjects, MCAT, and USMLE prep, I tailor my approach to each student's learning style, focusing on concept mastery, test-taking strategies, and long-term retention.I have tutored students at high school, college, and medical school levels, both in one-on-one sessions and structured group settings. My experience includes working with students preparing for AP exams, the MCAT, and medical licensing exams. I emphasize active learning methods, including question-based review, real-world application of concepts, and test simulations to help students feel confident on exam day.For USMLE and MCAT students, I provide customized study schedules, high-yield concept breakdowns, and strategy sessions tailored to individual strengths and weaknesses. I also offer medical school admissions coaching, including personal statement reviews, interview prep, and guidance on crafting a strong application.I believe that studying doesn't have to feel overwhelmingit's about finding the right system that works for you. Let's work together to achieve your academic goals! Feel free to reach out!I understand the frustration that comes with not understanding a subject and I wholeheartedly try to ease this tension by using laid-back methods of teaching and forming meaningful relationships with students.

First, let me give you a little information about myself. I am twenty years old. I am currently enrolled at The Ohio State University with the goal to receive a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have been surrounded by math and science ever since my sister tried teaching me angles when I couldn’t even tie my shoes. These are my favorite subjects and my best subjects, and I love being able to share them with others.I have been tutoring for a few years now. Throughout high school and college, I have tutored my peers in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I take pride in my tutoring because I have the ability to help a student exceed to his/her best ability. Everyone has the potential to be extraordinary; they just need a little push to get going.Apart from all the “boring” stuff, I have several other interests. Some include watching sports, weightlifting, and making people laugh. I am a devoted person that doesn’t stop until I complete the task to my best ability.

I am a recent graduate of Georgetown University. I received a Bachelors of Arts in Economics with a minor in Mathematics. I currently work downtown in DC as an analyst at a large economic consulting firm. From tutoring young elementary school kids to college sophomores, I have extensive experience working with students over a wide range of age levels and learning types. Math has always been my favorite subject to tutor because I know the difference a good math teacher can make. It was my 12th grade statistics teacher that pushed me to at least try taking a math class in college - a subject that I swore I would never take again after high school. Four years later, I graduated with a math minor and now work with statistical/econometric modeling everyday in my professional life. I hope to help other students find the same confidence in their own mathematical abilities. Outside of work I love yoga/pilates, participate in a book club with a few college friends, bake, and enjoy long walks around the various waterfronts in DC.

I am a graduate of Cornell University. I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering. I am now in the process of applying to graduate schools to continue working towards my Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering. While at Cornell, I tutored Calculus 2 and 3 to freshman engineering students, as well as taught a supplementary course in Calculus 2 for engineers. These supplementary courses were designed for older students to give mini lectures and practice problem sets to students who were struggling in a course, the idea being that older students who have already taken the class may have a better sense of what helped them learn the material than a graduate TA or professor. I mainly tutor Math and Physics, and within these my favorite topics to teach are Newton Mechanics, Algebra, Calculus 1 and 2, Trigonometry and Differential Equations. I do my best to approach challenging topics in a variety of ways until we can find the method that best enables the student to understand the material. In my experience, a concept that made no sense the first time it was taught can become clear if just looked at in a different way. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, soccer, attending theater, knitting, and traveling whenever possible. I've had the great opportunity to spend a year living in Spain and exploring Europe, and I am passionate about continuing to travel and explore other cultures.

As an educator, it is my goal to cater to every students individual needs as a learner rather than having the student adjust to my teaching style as is so unfortunately demanded by teachers. After my third year at Temple University, I have come to love helping others build the foundations for a strong education and enhance their problem solving abilities. I recently was able to have a position as an undergraduate TA in a high level organic chemistry class which developed my skills both as an educator and a student, because the two are inseparable. I am currently pursuing a BS in chemistry at Temple University and wish to attend graduate school in order to get my PhD in inorganic chemistry. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going out with friends to explore Philadelphia, and learning something new every day!
