Currently, I am working on my Masters Degree in Data Science at Florida International University. Ever since I was an undergraduate I have been passionate in helping other students. Thanks, to this opportunity I have been able to give orientation talks Middle and High School students all over my country about what is Computer Science. Also, I have given various programming workshops in the Java Programming language. My teaching philosophy is observe the student first then tutor. That is, I first evaluate the students learning style, study habits and weaknesses the student has in the subject to be tutored in. So, I always adapt to each student. College hit me like a truck when I wasnt looking, not cool. I want to make sure your son/daughter is ready for college and not just with the academics portion of it and yes that is important, although I want to help them become mentally ready for the road ahead as well. As many of you know life isnt about how people gain materialistic items, or how so and so can read and write is about the drive that separates us from one to another. The will to want to do something, and the why to do it this is what I want to teach children not only to become better students yet to become better people, and hopefully one day watch them build our future.

I also believe that education is not simply the memorization of facts and their regurgitation, but the method by which a person learns to pursue their passions.As a tutor, my aim is to do whatever it takes to light that fire and keep it burning.
