I was born in Tehran which is the capital city of Iran. I grew up in a family which education has always been extremely appreciated; therefore, my family has always supported me financially as well as emotionally to become a well-educated person. I passed my high school which is one of the most famous ones in Tehran with GPA 18.94 (GPA is out of 20).As far as I can remember I have always been very passionate about digits and numbers and for this and just before college graduation, I also attended some additional mathematics classes in order to learn more techniques about this field. It was then when I was introduced to statistics and after reading a few books I immediately felt enthusiastic about it. I decided to choose this field and study at university. Finally, I received the letter of acceptance from the University of Tehran (UT) which is the oldest and first ranked university in Iran to study statistics as my major for the bachelor degree. Thanks to achieving high distinction grades at UT, I was offered TA position twice. This position is only offered by the university to high-performing students. I was very lucky to attend Prof. Persian and Dr. Amini classes who are distinguished professors of statistics in Iran working on statistical inference. It helped me to advance my theoretical and practical skills in statistics more and finally selected by the university to attend the 14th Iranian statistics student competitions in which our team ranked 3rd.Following this great achievement, I decided to do my undergraduate project on Methods of Analyzing Big Data and Data Science and introducing this knowledge. In order for me to accomplish this goal, I had to learn more technics. Therefore, I put many efforts in learning R, which an advanced software solution in statistics by attending advanced IT training courses. Moreover, to further my education and get my master degree, I got admission from one of the top 5 universities in Iran, Tarbiat Modares University (ranked 34 among 6000) in Mathematical Statistics. I took Advanced Multivariate, probability theory, Statistical Inference and Spatial analysis. My seminar was Analyzing High Dimensional Data by Random Forested which Dr. Golalizadeh was my supervisor. In addition to this, to study more about my major, I started applying for different universities around the world and got admission from the University of Glasgow, Deakin University and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. I decided to get anothermaster in Statistics so I chose SIUE to start my second master in Statistics and Operations Research.I have taken Introduction to Mathematical Statistics (STAT 480A) and Reliability Theory with Prof. Agustin who is my advisor, Regression Analysis, Advanced Quality Control and Advanced Multivariate Analysis with Dr. Pailden who is my academic advisor, Advanced Simulation Modeling with Dr. Chew, Introduction to Mathematical Statistics (STAT 480B) with Prof. A. Neath. While taking these courses, I have had several projects working with R programming and learning advanced functions and packages. I also started learning Python as another language to be able to do statistical analysis. Currently, I am graduated with the master project with Prof. Agustin which is about Software Debugging in reliability aspect.

I graduated in 2020 with an Economics degree from Middlebury College, a liberal arts campus in Vermont. In my path to college, I successfully studied for and passed a variety of AP and SAT exams. While completing my major and additional coursework in college, I have strengthened my academic writing, reading, research, and quantitative reasoning skills, picking up R, STATA, and ArcGIS along the way.I strongly believe that every student learns differently and that they should be able to seek the help they need to take full advantage of their learning opportunities. If I can help a student master a subject, pass an exam, discover their talent in a subject, or get into their dream school, I'd love to do it!

A lifelong learner, my heroes have always been my teachers. Now my goal is to be that person for today's students. I returned to school after a business career and earned my PhD. For the past 5 years, teaching and tutoring math and statistics students within the Minnesota State colleges and universities system has been both challenging and satisfying. Helping students overcome their math frustration is a highlight. These subjects are not for everyone. However, it seems reasonable that successful learning comes when tutoring complements individual interests and educational goals. Some people aspire to win an Olympic medal; scientific minds would like a Nobel Prize; and those who like more drama, seek an Academy Award. Graduation is our ultimate goal as it helps advance an improved quality of life. Looking forward to working with you during a successful school year.

I am a humorist, so please don't take my stern photo too seriously!I love mathematics, logic, probability, machine learning, decision making, and non-empirical theories of everything... But that should not intimidate you! I have extensive experience teaching Undergraduates in a variety of subject areas (by the time you read this, I will probably be again teaching in person courses at a University concurrently). Before I get too deep into me... I expect to focus my efforts on general college level mathematics, probability/statistics/decision making (SOA/CAS P Exam qualified), computer science, and data science/machine learning/AI (not robotics other than decision making). If you are studying at a Freshman/Sophomore Undergraduate level or preparing for College, I can meet you at your level at anything I am listed as qualified for. Upperclassmen should ask and the answer will be yes in some areas and no in others! But ask!Personally, I have a BA in Computer Science (Honors) and an MSci in Computational Finance (Honors), areas in which I have published in Academic journals. This prepared me for most recently teaching College Engineering Mathematics (Calculus, Linear Algebra) at a German University (I speak German and can teach in German or Spanish, but I am American and English is my first language). As indicated, I am suited to teach any of a variety of Computer Science related topics as well. (Ask!)I previously received a BA/MA in Philosophy, from prestigious programs, where I concentrated on Mathematical Logic and (what is now considered) Machine Learning. In these programs, I taught Logic, Probability, Inference, and English Composition. This time also infected me with a keen interest in theoretical foundations for Computer Science, Data Science, and Mathematics/Logic.Again, I encourage you to ask me whether I can help you with a topic. In general, I often can't meet a students needs when they are very technical-topic specific or otherwise very specialized mathematical areas... If you need a tutor for the Go programming language, you can probably find somebody, but I am not that person (I do everything I can in Python and its libraries, but know Java/C++/SQL and others, e.g. a bit of Prolog, R/SAS. I also web-scraped the World Factbook to build geo.atheoryof.us)... but just ask and I will help you find your way!
