In the near future, I will be attending the University of California, Berkeley to obtain a Masters degree in Financial Engineering. Throughout my years as an undergraduate, I tutored many students in all subjects of mathematics. I am most passionate and experienced in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry. I have also helped colleagues practice for the GRE Quantitative section. I believe that the most efficient way to learn mathematics is simply to do mathematics. Practicing problems, along with understanding their solution process, is the best way to learn any subject of mathematics. This studying process will ensure that one not only knows how to approach every problem, but understand it as well. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, playing video games, and jogging with my dog.

Prior to medical school, I attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.I have always enjoyed helping students, especially because I know how difficult school can be. Growing up in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri gave me a deep love and appreciation of nature and science. So I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Biology with a Chemistry minor from Missouri State University. I have used my degree to work in science research labs, museums, and as a teacher. I have been teaching for over fifteen years and have had great student success in the classroom as well as with my tutoring clients. As a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT), I strive to continue to master new methods to ensure student success. In addition, I have obtained multiple state teaching certifications, completed over thirty-six graduate hours in Biomedical Science and I am scheduled to finish a graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction this fall.I was lucky enough to be selected to work with NASA in 2011 where I led a team of teachers that flew a classroom experiment in Zero-Gravity. The "Worms in Space" experiment allowed me to fly for over ninety minutes on the amazing flight and the experience still inspires my work today. I have been honored by receiving several "teacher of the year" awards from various local, state, and national organizations.I am excited to be able to do the work that I love - and that is teaching students to better understand the world in which they live by learning science and math concepts. My favorite subjects to tutor are Biology, AP Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology but I am very confident and enjoy teaching Earth Science, Physical Science and Chemistry. As a leaner myself, I recognize that each learner has unique ways in which they learn. In my spare time I work as a coordinator of a nonprofit organization that feeds the homeless every week, and I was also the President of two clubs at my college. I have received 27 credits from my major in Early Childhood Education. In my previous job I was working as First Grade Head Teacher, I have taught children from first grade to twelfth grade. I taught a class of twenty-four first graders. My job duties include making lesson plans, assisting students with homework and academic help, helping students develop necessary studying skills, assisting students in realizing their full potential, evaluating student performance, maintaining educational records, reports, or files, conducting parent/ teacher conferences, recognize student learning levels, recognizing student problems, resolving behavioral or academic problems, using special education techniques. This previous year my first graders scored the third highest on their State Tera Nova Math exams and also scored in the first percentile for ELA State exams. I also have hundred hours of field work experience in different classroom settings with different teachers teaching different grade levels. I was given the leadership award from my college for my dedication during 2014 and 2015 year.
