I am a fan of the NFL, World Rugby and Cricket. During summer I get busy with cricket since I play for a league cricket team in the DC metro region.I am outgoing, easy to approach and will go above and beyond to help you to achieve goals. I have tutored a wide range of elementary to high school students in several subjects, and so I understand every student has their own style of learning. My name is Annan and I'm a senior at Princeton University pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology. Although I mainly study biology, my course of study has fortunately allowed me to experience and learn material from other subjects such as Calculus, Economics, Spanish, Organic Chemistry, Computer Science, and American History. Whether its been drawing mechanisms for reactions or conjugating verbs, Ive always had a passion for learning and understanding.My experience as a dedicated student with a knack for learning made me want to put my skills to good use by becoming an academic tutor. I started in high school as a peer mentor and weekly tutor for students struggling with learning Spanish, and since then Ive continued by tutoring at Princetons McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning. My experiences at McGraw helped me refine the characteristics and skills it takes to be a good tutor: patience, empathy, preparedness, and enthusiasm. I have experience tutoring students from grades K-college.In my opinion, a tutors goal should be to help students develop and cultivate the learning methods that work best for them while keeping them as engaged as possible. I was raised in Tucson, Arizona and have lived many years on the east and west coasts as well as abroad. I speak Russian fluently and am conversational in Portuguese.

I am currently a freshman physiology and neurobiology student at the University of Maryland. I am currently on the Pre-med track and striving for medical school to become a dermatologist. I have almost 4 years of tutoring experience, tutoring mostly mathematics ranging from pre-algebra 1 to calculus 2. I've started tutoring on-level/honors/AP chemistry. I also tutor the SAT math section and biology; ranging from molecular biology to genetics.I started tutoring back in 10th grade when I created my high School's first after-school tutoring service, Success Program, where students come after school and seek help from 7 tutors including myself.Students that are in need of tutoring struggle to grasp the concepts thrown at them and I experiment and try various methods to make the concepts as easy to comprehend and applied.
