I am currently working on publishing my honors senior thesis on Antarctic ice sheet dynamics in a scientific journal. Outside of academia, I enjoy performing as an actor on the stage and screen. I am passionate about carrying artistic endeavors alongside academic pursuits. I tutor a wide array of academic subjects, and I am most excited about tutoring students in Earth Science, writing and reading skills, Algebra 2, Calculus at all levels, and Physics. I'm an undergraduate student at Boston University studying Neuroscience and Human Physiology in the Kilachand Honors College. I am a member of the BU D1 dance team and global medical brigades. I recently returned from a trip to Honduras where my brigade was able to provide healthcare to a rural community in central Honduras.

I am a dedicated, highly motivated individual with a passion for enhancing the learning experiences of others. I have taught as a classroom teacher and as a volunteer at state and national parks for the past few years. I focus particularly on highlighting connections between various subject matter to individuals' everyday lives. After I graduated with my Masters degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2014, I moved to New Mexico to pursue a career in environmental conservation. I currently work as a supervisor for an AmeriCorps program that provides opportunities for young adults to gain skills working in the field of conservation while also receiving training for personal and professional development. I aspire to become a ranger with the National Park Service and a freelance writer.

I am a current PhD candidate in experimental geophysics at MIT. I have successfully tutored dozens of students for the GRE; these students report not only higher scores but deeper understanding of the material, even in areas they have struggled with for years. Many of my students have not taken relevant quantitative courses for years and have forgotten much of their fundamental math skills, but after working with me for a short time, they are able to achieve great GRE quantitative scores. Students also enjoy my approach to the verbal section, where we work on decoding the questions and narrowing answer choices based on the type of question. I focus on a strong understanding of the concepts being tested as well as on test-taking skills. After working together, all of my students feel more comfortable entering the exam and sure of their own abilities, and nearly all of my students end up meeting or exceeding their original score goals.

I am a former middle school science teacher and science curriculum chair in Philadelphia. I recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's degree in Education. In undergraduate, I graduated with honors in history and Russian language studies. I am also a Teach For America corps member alumnus. Right now I am the Learning and Development Coordinator for Impark USA. I enjoy teaching and love to work with others to overcome their academic challenges.

I am a big science buff, especially astronomy and evolutionary biology. I was also a competitive wrestler for 10 years and a competitive runner for five. I have 3 kids of my own and I love to teach.

I am a student at the University of Chicago, majoring in Biology with a focus in Ecology. I have a passion for science education, and I plan to pursue my Masters in Education. I have extensive experience tutoring in mathematics and science for elementary through high school students, in New York City and Chicago. Originally being pre-med, I applied to medical schools the year after I graduated. Also during this gap year, I taught introductory chemistry lab for science majors at Grand Valley State University. After some self reflection I decided medical school was not the path I wanted to take and decided instead to move to New York City to pursue my other passion of performing on stage.
