I am a current Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing accelerated student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2016 with a BA in Biological Sciences and minor in Philosophy. I have always had a deep and lifelong love of learning that I wish to impart to other students. My goal is to help students achieve their learning needs by utilizing a passionate, creative, and fun teaching approach. I have extensive experience in the subjects of Biology, Life Science, U.S. History, and the Social Sciences.

I am a dentist who recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. I have always been a tutor driven by a desire to help the student understand the course material beyond the scope of the class and syllabus. I majored in Biology during my undergraduate career, and so I am strongest in math and science courses. I tutor all ages from elementary school to those who are applying for graduate programs. I have helped students for the past 5 years in Biology, Chemistry, and Math at the collegiate and high school level. I also enjoy preparing students for entrance exams such as the ACT, SAT, or DAT. I am a graduate of Dartmouth College where I majored in History. I also received my M.Ed. from Boston College so that I could become a middle school and high school social studies teacher. Currently, I am working concurrently on my JD (at Duke University) and my Ph.D. in Education (at Boston College) and hope to one day combine the two degrees by working in policy. I have tutored or been in the education field my entire life and love it when I am able to help a scholar learn something new. I love to tutor a broad range of subjects but primarily focus on History and English. I particularly love working with scholars on their college essays and finding ways to get their unique voice and experience into writing. Education is crucial and it is important to work with scholars so that they realize the vast amount of knowledge there is in the world. I am a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am working towards a BFA in Dance and Choreography with minors in Political Science and Psychology. I have served as a TA for a freshman honors writing course at VCU since Fall 2018. I have also assisted and taught children's dance classes. I enjoy babysitting and helping my younger sister with her homework. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math, Science, and Psychology. I am also happy to help students prepare for Standardized Tests, particularly with the math portions of the exams. I have always felt respect and admiration towards my teachers in both smaller and more grand situations who have shaped me into the lifelong learner that I am. As a tutor, my goal is to make good on this foundation and show students the same courtesy my teachers have shown me.

I am extremely passionate about academics and learning; the value of each was inculcated into me at a very young age. I tutor a variety of subjects largely because I have so many areas of interests and have been privileged enough to pursue knowledge in those areas. I even enjoy tucking away "useless facts"...in fact, those very tidbits got me past the Jeopardy! Online Test and into the Contestant Audition!

I am a graduate of Yale University with a degree in biology and am currently working as a research associate at a cancer biology lab. I am an experienced STEM tutor for college and high school students and also tutor for standardized tests such as the MCAT and the SAT. Hobbies: books, music, dancing, baking, art, reading, writing

I am extremely excited to share my passion for these subjects with other students. Though math and science can often be intimidating, I hope to show how approachable these subjects really are. Everyone can succeed in math and science if they want!

I am a patient teacher who can explain problems in many different ways according to how individual students learn best. I only ask that you know and explain to me what topics you do not know or get so far. I know that every student can learn a subject with a combination of practice and patience, but I insist upon consistent effort and sessions. As an educator I do not support last minute cramming as the primary learning method of content for students as it does not lead to retention of material, mastery of larger themes, or the ability to differentiate between subtle differences when problem-solving on tests and exams. I will help my clients when they need extra sessions before Final Exams and AP Exams, but those who have been working the hardest throughout the school year to regularly improve will get preference over those students who are panicked at the last minute, but have put off meeting with me. I'm currently an undergraduate at Cornell University studying Biology. During a semester long break from working towards my Bachelor in Arts, I tutored Math to young students at Best In Class Education Center in Fort Bend, Texas. Prior to that teaching experience, I also tutored SAT Math. I was recruited shortly after taking the SAT myself, so it was a fresh and exciting experience for me. I currently tutor a variety of academic and test preparation subjects. I'm passionate about helping students because I have had some difficulty with certain subjects myself, and I understand the frustration of what that is like. My experience with High School Physics made me an advocate of getting help when it's needed. After seeking out assistance, I went from consistently struggling with the subject to graduating as Best Physics Student. I'm a firm proponent of the idea that with enough help, anyone can improve as drastically as I did. In my spare time, I enjoy painting, running and exploring.

I am excited to be home and help fellow straphangers on their educational paths! My largest wealth of tutoring experience is in foreign languages--particularly French--but I also feel very comfortable editing essays of any kind and working through standardized test concepts.
