I am currently working towards a bachelors of engineering degree in electrical engineering at Stony Brook University. Last year, I finished my Eagle rank in Boy Scouts and graduated from Tenafly High School. After attending Stony Brook University as an Undergrad, I hope to attend graduate school and then go into the engineering R&D field.Throughout my high school years, I volunteered as a tutor for elementary and middle school students through an after school tutoring club. In addition to this, I helped both my brothers with their school work and was also employed as a private tutor during my junior year. I love tutoring. I feel that it is vital for both the student and the tutor.I am able to tutor a wide variety of subjects. Most notably SAT prep, AP prep, algebra, geometry, calculus 1-3, linear algebra, and computer science. My favorite subjects to tutor are math and computer science. These subjects are by far my favorite topics so they are always fun to tutor. My approach to tutoring is to simplify things down to bite-sized chunks for the student. I find that difficulty in concepts often stems from trying to gloss over the more basic parts. This is the philosophy I use when I am learning and studying, as well as tutoring. I always try to be patient and take things one step at a time.Outside my academics, I have a number of different hobbies. First and foremost, I am extremely interested in technology and computer science. I often write code for fun and tinker with hardware and circuits. I also enjoy playing basketball with my friends and reading science fiction.

I graduated from Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University) in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus in Early Childhood (birth-3rd grade), letter of approval for special education and a minor in teaching English as a second language. Since then, I've spent the past two years working as a lead teacher in an early pre-k classroom, first as a lead in a ten 24-36 month olds at a private family-owned center and now as a co-lead in a classroom of ten 15-36 month olds at a local community center.I believe we should be lifelong learners and strive to foster that for myself by staying up to date with the latest trends in education. In my free time, I love to read (historical fiction, paranormal, and dystopians) and play boardgames or DnD with my friends.

I am the definition of a Jersey girl who believes good grammar and vibrant diction can change the world! As a graduate of William Paterson University's class of 2015, summa cum laude with a degree in Early Childhood / Elementary Education and an Endorsement in Middle School English Writing, I am eager to see what life has in store for me! I have high hopes for my own classroom in a local NJ elementary or middle school, dreams of traveling to the sunshine and even to the snow, and I have the strongest desire to perfect my Spanish speaking in the next coming months. As a self-proclaimed language lover, word wizard, and punctuation princess, I have a passion for all things English or Language Arts. I find joy in piecing together, dissecting and recreating sentences, paragraphs, and even stanzas to find or create meaning and purpose for the reader and the writer! As an undergraduate student, I spent much of my free time working in the university writing center to help my peers improve and master their own writing skills. The rest of my free time was spent either laughing with friends, trying a new recipe or looking deals on Groupon!I also love to write my own poetry in my spare time, and I enjoy reciting it before audiences at local open mics nights! My favorite poets are Pablo Neruda, Russell Edson, and Toni Morrison because they all have their own unique voices and styles that encourage my eyes and my mind to indulge further and further into their works, page after page. Speaking of pages, I recently coauthored a book with six other undergraduate students and a professor that is available on Amazon.com and even in Barnes & Noble stores. As an education major, I understand what it truly means to be flexible, versatile, and adaptive, so no matter what subject you may need some help in, I will be sure to walk you through each step with patience, enthusiasm, and encouragement because together we can achieve great things!

I am a current college student at the University of Florida, who is very passionate about helping young students grow academically and personally. I tutor a broad range of subjects, but tutoring math and English excites me the most. The aspect of tutoring I try to focus on extensively is organization within a students school work, because it is such a key to being successful in higher education. My experience ranges from tutoring kindergarten students to eighth graders throughout my 4 years in high-school, and through this experience I gained a great sense of different methods to help different students.
