Over the past three decades I have gained a concrete mathematics teaching experience in several countries all over the globe. I started as early as 1988 with the teachers training program provided by the school of education- University of Ain Shams in Cairo- Egypt. I was teaching high school students mathematics for five hours a week, and I got my bachelors in Science and Education in 1989 to be ready to join one of the public schools as a middle school math teacher in Egypt.In 1991, I moved to work at the experimental language schools using the English language as a medium until 1995. I gained exposure to modern methodology in teaching mathematics, new skills and practical tools of this field while attending an in-service training in teaching mathematics in Heriot Watt University (Moray House Institute) in Edinburgh- Scotland in 1995.From 1996 to 2000 I worked at various private schools as a high school math teacher in Egypt, from 2001 to 2007 I was appointed by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign affairs (The Egyptian Fund for Technical Support with Africa) to work as an expert in teaching mathematics in Chad. I was privileged to join University of Central Arkansas as a Masters student and a graduate assistant during the 2008-2009 school year where I taught college Algebra and business calculus beside assisting three professors of the department of mathematics in marking and checking various assignments, from 2010 to 2014 I was honored to win the opportunity to work at University College London- Center for Preparatory Studies based in Nazarbayev University in Astana, the wonderful capital of Kazakhstan, as a Fellow in teaching mathematics, finally in 2014-15 I joined Manarat Arriyadh international school as an intensive mathematics program leader rather than teaching mathematics for juniors and seniors, over all I used to be a public school mathematics teacher employed by the Egyptian Ministry of Education since 1989, I worked in middle and high schools in different types such as private and experimental schools as well.

I'm 24 years old with two Bachelors degrees from OSU, one in Physics, the other in Mathematics. I tutored high school to college level math at Clackamas Community College for a year, and have done private tutoring since. I have a lot of experience teaching people with vastly different learning styles, and enjoy helping people learn and understand new information.My teaching focus is primarily on helping the student gain a deep understanding of the material as well as an understanding of how to think about and approach new information or problems in the future.

I am currently undergoing TEFL certification and entering University of Saint Louis Missouri's Graduate Biology program in Fall 2017. During my career as an instructor, I have taken in invested interest in getting children and young adults in my local community interested in S.T.E.M./S.T.E.A.M. related fields. I have worked with both St. Charles School District and Francis Howell School District to further student's understanding of core biological concepts, focusing primarily on middle school and high school students. Organizations I have worked for in the past include the Boys&Girls Club of St. Peters, SCCC College for All Kids, and FIRST Robotics with a focus on educating elementary school students. I hold the philosophy that intrinsic motivation is the most powerful tool towards reaching goals and dreams, and gear my lessons to fostering a drive for greater knowledge.My strongest experience is with middle school and grade school science.

I have raised 4 children and helped them all with their math and science homework. I also lived for a couple years in Central America where I became fluent in Spanish. To augment what I learned while living there, I also took 3rd Year Grammar and Intro to Spanish Literature. So I also helped my kids with their Spanish homework. The great thing about knowing Spanish is that you can use it almost every day.

To me there is nothing more exciting and rewarding than to see a child or adult's eyes light up because s(he) learned something. Every intellectual accomplishment builds a little bit of self-confidence that motivates the child to want to learn more because s(he) knows s(he) can do it. I am a mathematics major at Arizona State University and have been tutoring mathematics here since January 2013. I tutored at the largest math tutoring center in the nation (ASU's) for three years and got a tutor of the year award there one year. I am always ready to learn more math and share any knowledge of it with other people (in fact I enjoy doing both!). I believe the best way to learn math is to understand the underlying concepts behind mathematical problems, to understand the problem-solving techniques used to solve specific 'types' of math problems, and to question why (to be curious about) certain mathematical truths are what they are.
