I am currently a certified math teacher. I went to The Chinese University of Hong Kong for my bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and University of Southern California (USC) for my master's degree in Financial Engineering. I am big fan of Harry Potter and piano-playing. More importantly, I love instilling confidence in my students and helping them succeed!

I recently graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelors degree in math, and I spent the majority of my four years there working in the math tutoring center. I loved being able to work one-on-one with students and see their growth as they started to understand the material. I strongly believe that understanding concepts is just as important as being able to work out technical problems, and that all students (regardless of perceived mathematical intelligence) have the ability to do so. I also understand how mathematics functions to gatekeep some students from certain majors and jobs later in life, and it is my hope that I can help provide access to these majors and jobs for the students whom I tutor.

I have been tutoring for almost twenty years. I have taught at the university level, worked closely with the local school systems, and have experience working with young and adult learners with learning disabilities.With experience as a mental health therapist, I strive to develop a working relationship with learners so that we can determine the best way to approach new concepts. I enjoy helping others, am very passionate about subject areas, such as mathematics and psychology, and I am able to establish rapport with clients with ease, an important component to predicting success.

I enjoy helping people understand material that they struggle with on their own. Each individual learns differently and there are multiple ways for people to solve a problem. With this in mind I am sure that once we understand the basic concepts and build a solid foundation it is possible to to build from there and understand the concept at hand and you will be able to understand the subject matter at hand.

I am Victoria. I just recevied my associate degree at College of DuPage and was one of the finalists of this year's outstanding graduates.I am good at math and my native language is Mandarin. I have two-year university degree of economics in Shanghai, China. I took Calculus 1 before and I got A for every quiz and test. Amazingly, I got 119 out of 120 in the final.I have four-year experience in tutoring. I totally understand how students feel when they meet with the homework difficulties and what they will experience when they try to learn a foreign language. Therefore, I am always ready to help students with great patience. I have tried various ways to explain problems to my students, so I am quite familiar with what students may be confused with.I love tutoring. It is always amazing to help students grow up. Every time I see students make great progress after they make efforts, I feel proud of them. I am looking forward to working with you.

I just graduated from the University of Utah with my bachelor's in math and a minor in psychology. I tutor all levels and ages, though I have the most experience with college students. I am a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. I received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree with focus on robotics. I am due to graduate this December with a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Tarleton State University. I have several years of experience in higher education. In my two years at Tarleton State University I have taught various levels of college algebra. I have also taught at ITT Technical Institute for two years, covering many electronics and programming classes. I enjoy helping students to see difficult subjects like mathematics and programming in a different light, making the material a little less scary and a lot more understandable.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering at Howard University in Washington, DC. I enjoy teaching math and science because as an engineering major we are skilled in these subjects. When I teach subjects like math, that might come difficult to some, I like to relate the problems to real life situations so that the student gains a better understanding of the subject. In college, I have tutored other students in algebra, geometry, chemistry; and high school students in SAT and ACT. I am a very energetic tutor and I love to make learning fun and not dull. Most of my friends and classmates come to be for help in certain areas that I excel in and I feel great helping out others. I want to build students confidence so that they feel comfortable when taking their tests or writing their papers. I'm a very positive person and I am a good listener. I will listen to the student to understand exactly where we should focus more attention on. Sessions with me will not only be filled with knowledge and understanding but also smiles and laughs. I love to swim, dance, shop, watch movies and hang out with friends. I look forward to working together in the future and being able to supply an enjoyable learning experience.

I have previously tutored mathematics for my University and have received training in regards to proper tutoring techniques. My specialties are Calculus as well as core engineering courses such as Statics, Physics, and Thermodynamics. While these are my favorite subjects, I am also able to tutor many different areas of mathematics, statistics, physics, and biology.When it comes to math and science, each teacher has their own methods or tricks they use to facilitate learning in their students. I like to use these same methods in order to reinforce the concepts that the students have been exposed to in class. When on the path to academic success, hard work and determination are sometimes not enough. I believe everyone needs a helping hand once in a while, especially with challenging subjects.
