Certified Tutor

My name is Gabriel Ukegbu, and I studied biopsychology at Tufts University. I am pursuing an MD-MBA after graduating college. If there is one thing that the pre-med track has taught me, there is nothing wrong with asking for help. I have participated in many tutoring sessions ranging from Biology to English, and I understand that tutors are quintessential. I want to be a tutor because I want to help other students as I was helped growing up. I wish to reaffirm to them that they are bright and that struggling is a part of growth.
My passion was especially apparent when I worked at Summer Enrichment Academy: Empowering Ourselves Organization during the summer. I worked out of a church in Brooklyn tutoring students who were struggling in school academically. I taught underserved youth courses in math, reading, and science. I also worked at a summer camp at Eastside House Settlements in the Bronx, preparing lesson plans for 6th graders. I also taught all levels of chemistry to Tufts Unversity undergraduates.
