I pride myself on being a lifelong learner and educator. I have 42 years of public education experience as a teacher and administrator. I have experience tutoring students in Grades K-5 in early literacy. i enjoy teaching students in programs based in the Science of Reading. Phonemic awareness, word recognition, vocabulary development, comprehension, writing skills, make up critical components of a balanced program. I relish the opportunity to help students master these critical skills and become confident and highly proficient in the art of Reading and Writing.

I enjoy music and writing songs. I am a vocalist and have had the opportunity to perform in many bands. i also enjoy writing as a hobby. I compose songs and write lyrics . This gives me the opportunity to expand my horizons and utilize my creativity.
