As a tutor with Learning Lodge for the past two years, I have worked with children from families adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic; I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at Best Brains Learning Center, an enrichment program designed to help children aged 3 and above develop academically. While I tutor various subjects, I am especially passionate in teaching students Math, Science, English, and Writing; these have been extremely exciting subjects to teach the future generations eager to learn more. Some of my other extracurricular activities included founding the World Health Assimilation Through Notre Dame (WHAT ND) club, participating in rare and neglected diseases research, and volunteering in my local communities. I also operate, with some very able and committed colleagues, a Not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting people get into gainful employment.

I am a licensed teacher from China where I taught over 500 middle school and elementary school students in a 9 year span. Students love my classes and we became friends after they graduated. My speciality is Mandarin Chinese. I studied in China and US and have a Bachelor's degree in language arts. I am open-minded, skillful and passionate in teaching. I am big on listening. I am good at engaging students in my class. I am approachable and kind-hearted. While I am not teaching, I love to hang out in downtown Chicago with my friends. I also love music, travel, singing, dancing, and fashion.

Teaching, or in other words, motivating people to want to learn is my life's calling. I acquire knowledge for its own sake, and encourage others to do the same. I have been teaching all types of people for nearly 20 years. I was educated via life. I have traveled the world and experienced several cultures. While I did attend college and received extensive training via the military, I tend to remember many details of both the thousands of hours I have spent in the classroom, both teaching and as a student, and the world that I have observed. I believe I can teach almost anything because teaching is an intensely personal endeavor. It is my job to motivate you to want to learn whatever it is you trying to learn. From there, my job is to guide you so you can not only discover for yourself, but keep discovering beyond my influence. In general, my favorite topics to teach are history and science. In history lies the importance of why things are because of us humans. Science is raw objective knowledge.
