Hi! My name is Sara. I live in Bloomington, IN. I currently work at an ABA clinic that uses natural environment training and play skills to teach functional skills to early learners (younger than 6). I am fortunate that I get to play all day for "work" and enjoy applying ABA to the natural environment. As a trainer, I have been training technicians since 2016 and supervisees (BCaBA and BCBA candidates) since 2017. I want everyone to love ABA as much as I do and I want everyone to be able to apply the science to any scenario. I like to ensure that the individuals I train have mastered the foundational concepts and terms and try to coach them to apply the key terms and concepts to any scenario--be it in the clinic or in their own life! I am someone who has to practice things in order to learn them and I use a variety of visuals, different media and will create fake data and scenarios to help individuals learn and apply the concepts. I am excited to get the opportunity to help you apply those concepts too!

I love teaching! I've been a part of students' lives as a teacher, coach, and administrator for over thirty years. I have taught English, language arts, and journalism to middle school and high school students, and you will find me reading and writing along with them. I have also coached high school cross country, track, and basketball. I attended DePauw University for my English degree, Indiana University for my teaching degree, and the University of Southern Indiana for my master's degree.

Hi, my name is Emily! I am currently a fourth year medical student in Indianapolis. I completed my undergraduate education at Indiana University Bloomington, where I majored in Biology and Spanish. I also completed two minors in Mathematics and Chemistry. While at IU, I worked for the Department of Mathematics and Department of Spanish. I also worked as a Peer Tutor for the IU Athletics Department, tutoring in several subjects including statistics, chemistry, physics, and Spanish. I graduated from college with a 4.0, and I entered medical school shortly thereafter. Since coming to medical school, I have excelled in all of my pre-clinical coursework, and I currently rank in the Top 20% of my class. I feel very comfortable and confident tutoring other students in a variety of subjects from math and science to Spanish. I like to think that the same techniques I have used to excel in all phases of my education can be easily adapted to other students and help you achieve your academic goals, just as I have!

As a tutor, I am committed to helping students learn and grow in order to harness the power of education for themselves and for future generations. I fell in love with learning at an early age and have always served as an informal tutor for my peers. More recently, I worked as a writing tutor at Indiana University, where I met with students of a wide-range of disciplines and levels of ability to prepare and execute all types of writing assignments. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a student arrive at an "a-ha!" moment during a tutorial.My love of learning has led to a long academic career. I received B.A.s in Spanish Literature and Transborder Chicano and Latino Studies from Arizona State University, and while I was a student there, I co-taught a course with a university professor. I developed the ability to guide discussions and provide feedback in a way that fosters individual growth, and I exercise this ability in my tutorial sessions.The subjects I studied at Arizona State required that I learn to write effectively in both English and Spanish. Learning a second language forced me to reevaluate my use of English. I spent a great deal of time deconstructing words and sentences in order to understand how the two languages could be translated, and because of this, I have a deeper understanding of how the English language works. My passion for learning a second language has translated to an interest in assisting those who are learning English as a second language, as well. I have worked with English language learners of all ages in writing and speaking.I received my J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where I learned the entirely different language of the law. I enjoyed my legal research and writing course so much, that I was inspired to work for the University's Writing Tutorial Services.I am eager to continue to share my passion for learning with others and to help students feel the satisfaction of success in school. My name is Solomon Keim and I am a music educator and performer. I am trained to teach flute, clarinet, piano, voice, and saxophone. I currently study at Indiana University.

I graduated from high school in 2015. I am currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. I have always worked with kids. I help mentor kids through College Mentors for Kids at my college and I teach swim lessons. I love to teach singing because it is one of my biggest passions. I am currently in show choir at college and have been in choir classes since the 5th grade.I believe that all kids have the ability to learn. I want to allow students the chance to explore and to learn the lessons. Students should learn the information, not just memorize it. In my free time I love to workout, row and when I get the chance I love to go horseback riding.

Academically, my best language by far, and one I could definitely tutor a beginning or intermediate student in is German. Three years of academic study with an instructor native to German, who used immersion to help us with fluency and "thinking" in that language. It is still my most fluent language.I also have academic training in Latin. 3 years of study. It would take some review, but I could certainly help tutor a student struggling to learn or master that language. It is certainly a fantastic one to study in terms of understanding much of English, with so many cognates, understanding or working out new word meanings when they possess a recognizable Latin root, or prefix, etc.

I have been a big sister since I was 18 months old and I believe that is when my love for nurturing others began. I have always loved children and watching them grow. Nothing is better than watching a child have the "lightbulb" go off in their head. This is why I plan to pursue a career in teaching. I would love to be a kindergarten teacher and watch not only as they grow in the year that they are my students but watch as they blossom into young scholars. My love for children and love for helping people makes teaching young children my dream career.

As a person that math and science come easily too I love to help others have a better understanding of it.
