I am currently a creative writing major at The City College of New York (CCNY) and an aspiring poet, novelist, and playwright.I graduated from the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) with an Associate of Arts in Creative Writing with High Honors, and while earning my degree, I was the Vice President of CSN's Creative Writing Club and part of their editorial board for their literary and visual arts journal: Neon Dreams. I am also the winner of Steiner's Emerging Voices Scholarship for poetry and Neon Dreams' Monthly Writing Contest for poetry at CSN and the Goodman Fund Poetry Award at CCNY.Before earning my degree at CSN, I tutored students in English and math for the "No Child Left Behind" act which, in fact, had inspired me to go back to school and receive a formal education.
