I am a junior at the University of Notre Dame majoring in American Studies and minoring in Digital Marketing. I am very passionate about helping students, and I have been tutoring since my freshman year of high school. I use a high energy, personalized approach to tutoring in order to help students gain confidence in their abilities!

I am an incoming freshman at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC), majoring in Biological Sciences and part of the GPPA Medical Scholars program! In my free time, I love to play violin, read, play badminton, and go on bike rides!In the past, I have tutored students in biology, chemistry, and mathematics. I was also part of my school's Lit Lab where upperclassmen tutored underclassmen. In the summers, I tutor my siblings in math and reading. Outside of academia, I was a counselor at my school's badminton camp and taught drills and games.Having recently taken standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and AP Tests, I hope to utilize the test taking skills and knowledge I have learned to help others.Lastly, I love working with students, and I am so excited to become a tutor! While studying, I was employed as a laboratory technician at the Rhodes Laboratory of Behavioral Neuroscience, where the bulk of my work, including my senior honors thesis, concerned the adverse of effects of prenatal alcohol exposure on the developing hippocampal region of the brain. After graduating, I served a year, full time, as an Americorps member with City Year, tutoring and mentoring 7th and 8th grade students in the Englewood Community of Chicago in 1-on-1 and small group settings. I am currently working toward a TEFL certification that would allow me to teach English as a foreign language abroad. With Varsity Tutors, I tutor a wide range of subjects including biology, algebra, and English, as well as ACT and GRE prep. I employ a student-centered teaching style, encouraging students to think independently and draw their own conclusions about the content. In my free time, I enjoy appreciating and composing music and literature, and take an active role in grassroots politics.

I studied English at the University of Chicago, music and chemistry at Indiana University, and I completed my MS in chemistry at New York University. I worked in education in New York for 25 years, including as a science and math teacher, department chair, and Head of Upper School for a number of K-12 independent schools. I reside in Hyde Park, Chicago. I am a STEAM educator who listens to the needs of my tutees and works to meet them. I'm also thinking about, listening to, and acting on ideas regarding leadership, education, and mentoring.

My name is Zeeshan Qazi and I am majoring in Biology at Loyola University Chicago. I am working towards becoming a physician, and I expect to attend medical school next year. I have scored at the 100th percentile for the Physical Sciences portion of the MCAT. My Chemistry, Physics, and Biology knowledge is quite extensive. I have always been fascinated by science and medicine. I have been tutoring for 3 years, and I have experience teaching from 1st grade students all the way up to college kids. I enjoy tutoring because it is a way for me to help someone academically, which I believe is a very important part of one's life.

I love to share my knowledge of the political process and my love for history and philosophy with others. Language is very important to me and I hate it when words are mispronounced and misspelled. My interests are singing, movies, history and television, as well as politics and current events.

I am experienced in and passionate about the humanities primarily; my main areas of expertise are writing, political science, and literature. In high school, I tutored in my school's writing center for years and continued proofreading college essays for public school students across Chicago since graduating.
