I am a rising senior at Duke University who is Pre Med and majoring in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. I was born and raised in Miami FL and went to public school until college (Sunset Elementary, GW Carver Middle and Coral Reef Senior High for those from Miami). I decided to start tutoring because I would not be on this path had I not had good teachers supporting me along the way. For that reason I want to be able to help others achieve their goals without academics being a huge hurdle.

I am an actor, artist, and teacher, with my Bachelor’s degree from Boston College, and my Master's of Fine Arts from Brown University. At Boston College, my two majors were in Theatre Arts and Theology, and at Brown, I was a part of a three year conservatory in Acting and Theatre Arts.

I'm a recent college graduate living in New York City. My entire professional career has been spent working with youth. I love working with kids of all ages. Their ability to soak up information and improve is inspiring, and their energy makes work not feel like work. I believe that all students are capable of academic success and that sometimes all it takes is a novel approach. This is why it is important to understand the unique learning style of each student. I am a fun-loving fourth-year student from Vanderbilt University and look forward to working with you! I have a 36 ACT score and had a 4.0 in both high school and college. In high school, I was the valedictorian of my 450+ person class. I have a unique ability to create individualized plans for success. I am academically motivated and will instill this excitement for learning and achievement in those I work with. I am a Georgia Institute of Technology Engineering Undergraduate and have my MBA from Cornell University - Johnson College of Business. I am very proficient in: K-12 Mathematics, Science, English, History, Engineering, and College and Graduate level Business studies. A native English speaker, I also speak Hindi, Urdu, and French. I have been tutoring since I was in 7th grade, to younger students at Kumon, and have been tutoring privately since the 9th grade. Once I graduated college, I continued the private tutoring and was a part of the Tutoring club at GT. I moved to NYC after graduation and began helping middle and highschool students with the above mentioned subjects. I am very passionate about education and teaching in general - which inspired me to further my quest for knowledge and complete my MBA. I am a peoples person and this is purely a hobby of mine.

I have been able to pursue my passion for languages and literature in my career as well as my studies. I have taught English as a second language, critical reading, grammar, and academic and professional writing to students of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels, including incoming university students, business professionals in South Korea, and fifth and sixth graders in south side Chicago. I am especially excited when I get to help students work on their writing skills, and the breakthroughs my students have had in learning to express their own unique voices and perspectives clearly and articulately are some of our favorite teaching moments.
