I received my bachelor's in Math and Psychology at UCLA, Ph.D. work in Engineering at Virginia Tech, and MBA in Marketing and New Venture Management at USC. I'm Sasha and I am a former high school biology teacher and MBA graduate who is excited to help you find success and enjoyment in your biology, chemistry, or math class or SAT II Subject Test. I taught high school biology at a public high school in New Jersey for three years and really enjoyed working with students. Additionally, I've had success on the SAT and the GMAT exams, and look forward to sharing my tips and tricks with students or business school applicants who are gearing up for these exams. Finally, having worked with a wide range of students, including many with IEPs or Section 504 accomodations, I have lots of strategies and ideas to help students who learn differently master content and can also help students who could use some extra support in their organizational and study skills.

I was a math and French tutor at Detroit Country Day School, where I was on the board of the tutoring committee. I also worked at two Kumon Math and Reading Centers.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. I majored in neuroscience and chemistry and while I was in college I spent my time volunteering at local hospitals and researching novel neuroscience techniques. I will attend medical school at Geisinger Commonwealth Medical College this fall. Having taken all of the science classes since high school, I know how daunting and hard science material might seem but if taken at a very fundamental level, it is much more logical and simpler than how many high school teachers or college professors make it seem. Thats how I approach tutoring my clients. I try to use practical examples on how the science principles come into play in the real world.

I am interested in teaching students the writing, critical reading, and mathematic skills necessary for achieving admission to colleges and business schools. I am particularly interested in helping students with college admissions essays. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and photography.-

I started as a peer tutor in high school and continued working as a tutor and Teaching Assistant in college. After receiving a degree in Biochemistry from NYU, I joined the Peace Corps, where I was assigned to teach high school Math, Science, and English. I loved teaching so much that I stayed to continue teaching and tutoring even after my tour of service had ended. After returning to the US, I received my MPH from Emory University in 2018.
