I scored 800 on SAT Math and received AP scores of 5 on Calculus AB and BC.

I am a graduate of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA where I received two Bachelors of Arts degrees in 2011. One of my degrees was in International Relations and Global Studies with a minor in Anthropology, and my second degree was in Spanish Language and Literature. Once I graduated, I moved back to Southern California in order to pursue work in the legal field with the ultimate goal of attending law school. I worked for a year between two separate law firms in the greater Los Angeles area as a Law Clerk and tutored high school students in LA's South Bay. I specialized in a wide range of subjects to fit my clients' needs, however, I am most passionate about teaching skills for Writing, Reading, Grammar, and Spanish. In my opinion, languages, both those that we are native to and new ones we wish to acquire, are fascinating but also take a lot of work to stay fresh. I understand the struggles many students face while grappling with reading and writing in English, and I especially understand the difficulties of mastering Spanish, as it is not my native tongue. I have found that this understanding helps me to be a more creative and thus effective tutor and leads to positive results with my clients. Last year, I moved to Orange County to begin my first year as a law student at UC Irvine School of Law. I am now in my second year at the law school and feel, if anything, I am even better suited to tutor new clients. Apart from school and tutoring, I enjoy being outdoors with my new puppy, training for and participating in triathlons, travel, photography, and attending country concerts.

I am currently an undergraduate at the University of California - Irvine pursuing a dual degree in Economics and Political Science. As the older sister to two wonderful brothers, I often found myself aiding them in their organization and coursework growing up. In high school I became a peer tutor and continued to help others succeed and comprehend the material that we were taught. I firmly believe that education is one of the most important aspects to life. Beyond simply getting a job, there is so much in the world to explore, and I plan to never stop learning and growing even after I receive my degree. Innate curiosity, even into just one subject can spark a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. And as cliche as it sounds, knowledge truly is power.

I have been a Early Childhood Education and After school program teacher for six years with University of California, Irvine. I have obtained the After School Program Site Supervisor Permit from California Department of Education. Prior to the career, I had taught a year of Chinese in reading, writing, and speaking in a Sat Chinese School in Irvine. I also tutored pre-schoolers in a non-traditional Chinese program.I graduated from UCI with BA degree in Psychology and Social Behavior and minored in Education. I also obtained the after school program certificate from the UCI Education Department. Recently, I completed the Diversity Development Program Training from Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity; I attended two-day intensive Anti-bias Education workshop with Museum of Tolerance in order to enhance my professional skills and knowledge.
