I am a native Mandarin speaker educated in the United States. I graduated from College of Management, University of Massachusetts Boston.In my more than 10 years of teaching, I have shared my knowledge of Chinese in many different capacities. I've taught corporate executives practical Chinese at the business level, led classes at a Chinese language institute, and worked with students one on one.Thanks to my management and business experience in corporate America and my many years of strict training to be a reciter when I was at school in Beijing, I am better able to help my students communicate and succeed in using Chinese for their needs..In my own experience, learning to speak another language is not just about mimicking the sentence flow and pronunciation, but also understanding the culture behind the language.I want my students to enjoy the learning process wherever they are and take pride in the fact that they're not just learning new words, but also learning the wisdom, philosophies, and history behind them.When you communicate with someone using their language, it's a form of love. It means you went the extra mile to meet that person where they are; it means that you care about them and want to understand them on a deeper level. This is what I wish to teach each of my students.Everyone is welcome in my class to discover the beauty of Chinese culture and learn how to share that gift with others.

I recently graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in Math.Math and engineering are two fields that get me excited, and I like to share the excitement with my students. I have been working as math tutor for the past 6 years at a community college. I have taught all levels of math starting from algebra all the way to differential equations and linear algebra.I work well with different types of students as well as adapt to different learning styles. I have helped most student improve their grades and get through with their math classes.In addition to my math skills, I can speak, read, and write Arabic and French. I can certainly help those who need to improve their language skills in both languages.
