I graduated from The University of Houston with my BS in Biology with minors in Psychology and Health in 2015. Since graduation, I have began coursework towards my Master's degree in Biomedical Science at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I have had a passion for science since the tender age of two! I enjoy the study of life and clarifying subjects to my clients that may at first seem complex or a bit intimidating.I have experience tutoring Organic Chemistry for my undergraduate institution's chemistry department. Most of my previous clients have been collegiate level, but my goal is to help students of all ages succeed and understand the material you are struggling with. I believe in presenting the material in various ways in order to make the concept clear and easy to manipulate. When I am not busy being a full time nerd, I enjoy spending my free time reading books to expand my imagination, exercising, cooking, and volunteering within my church community and the local hospital.

I am very well versed in the mathematics and sciences, able to provide knowledge and comprehension of higher level material as well as a firm, confident foundation of the basics.I have experience in working with students ranging from children in pre-academic years to young adult in pursuit of a college degree. During my undergraduate years, I was involved in the founding and management of a program tutoring youth who had classroom troubles or learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADD. I have just graduated with the BS in Math from the University of Houston, and planning to go to the graduate school soon. I have been working at the tutoring center called Undergraduate Scholars at the University of Houston for the past year and a half as a tutor of chemistry, biology and math. The experience has been amazing. Working with the adult students has been so much fun that it doesn't seem like work most of the time. It's really great to know that I am helping these students to do better with their school work and giving them a greater opportunity to succeed. Throughout the year I have had a chance to get to know the students and have found that they are all incredibly intelligent and have a great deal of potential. My experience at University has given me insight not only into how these students learn, but also how to help them learn more effectively. My time here has been wonderful and I wouldn't change it for the world. It is my belief that I cannot truly master something until I can teach it to others. Thus, I view tutoring as an essential component of the learning process. With respect to my tenure as a tutor at the Undergraduate Scholars, this has certainly been the case. From helping to ease students of their confusion in the lab, to leading review sessions in front of spacious lecture halls, my experiences as a tutor have augmented my interpersonal as well as technical skills. The responsibilities inherent to tutoring have motivated me to enhance my knowledge, to question my preconceptions, and to strengthen my understanding of math, chemistry and biology. In addition, coming to know and befriend the students, tutors, and faculty involved in the tutoring process has enriched my tutoring experience.
