I received a Bachelor's with Honors in Government and History from Dartmouth College in 2015 and am currently pursuing a Masters in Security Studies with a focus in Technology and Security from Georgetown University. I've worked for the US Government since 2015 and for a small think tank covering Asia and technology issues. I am most passionate about history, social studies, and math. My wife is an elementary school teacher in the DMV.

Teaching and tutoring has been an important part of my life for many years now. Since high school, I have volunteered to teach a wide range of subjects to students of all ages. In doing so, I've learned to step into the shoes of my students in order to help them master their material. As the ELA Content Lead I ensure that the curriculum is prepared so that all children have access. I currently teach 8th grade ELA, 7th grade reading intervention, and tutor 2nd grade reading after school. Some of the most effective ways to learn science, math, and Spanish are from people who use these subjects every day: for example, a Spanish speaking scientist. My teaching style is very different to that of a typical classroom because I use concepts from science and math every day and understand how they are most easily applied and explained. I try however possible to enrich the learning students gain in the classroom with practical applications for the scientific world. My teaching of Spanish can also best be described as intuitive, as I am a native speaker and can think of ways to explain concepts in Spanish that are not described in textbooks or workbooks. My practical applications to somewhat abstract subjects leave students with a solid conceptual foundation upon which their further study of science, math, or Spanish can flourish.
