I graduated from Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University) in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus in Early Childhood (birth-3rd grade), letter of approval for special education and a minor in teaching English as a second language. Since then, I've spent the past two years working as a lead teacher in an early pre-k classroom, first as a lead in a ten 24-36 month olds at a private family-owned center and now as a co-lead in a classroom of ten 15-36 month olds at a local community center.I believe we should be lifelong learners and strive to foster that for myself by staying up to date with the latest trends in education. In my free time, I love to read (historical fiction, paranormal, and dystopians) and play boardgames or DnD with my friends.

I was also a member of Stratford Festival's Classical Conservatory Company.My main approach to the study of these works of literature is to make them accessible. The works of Willam Shakespeare are still being studied after 400 years because they resonate with people. If I can open that door for my students, they can walk through it, and see a new wold.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Computer Science and was a member of DePaul's Honors Program. In the fall, I will be a PhD student at UIC and teach there as part of my course of study. I have worked with students for a year and a half at Superior Training as a swim instructor, teaching students aged 3-14. I tutor a range of middle school to high school math, such as Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, and AP Calculus AB, with my favorite subject being Calculus I/AP Calculus AB. When I teach, I try my best to make sure that every step of the problem is understood before moving on, to ensure a greater understanding of the bigger picture. In my free time, you can find me playing video games, at the gym, or hanging out with friends.

Recently returning from an incredible year living and working in Madrid, Spain, I'm looking to continue teaching Spanish and English to those who are motivated to learn. I began providing trumpet lessons at a young age, and then continued teaching privately in university in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. I have the skills and experience to teach Algebra, as well. I enjoy incorporating fun games and activities into my academic lessons, aiming to shine a different and more exciting light on learning for my students.I am upbeat and energetic people-pleaser, always looking for the next opportunity to meet people and learn new skills. Surrounding myself with inspiring and intelligent people is how I aim to live, and I have been fortunate enough to meet incredible people from all over the world, through my travels. I am an avid cyclist and runner, hoping to complete my first triathlon in the Summer of 2016, and highly value strong relationships with my friends and family.

I also had great success tutoring children virtually with the 21 century after school program. It is my belief that all students can learn and want to learn. It is my job to meet them where they are and guide them forward. In my free time I enjoy going for walks with my family, listening to podcast on cultivating new life skills, exercising and drawing.
