Hello! My name is Busola Gabrielle Akerele, originally from Africa and moved to U.S about 7 years ago, I am fluent in several languages and was introduced to several styles of teaching. I love dogs, traveling and spreading the philosophy of life. I am extremely aware of my surrounding and the fact that people live their own lives in such specified ways therefore I try to cater into their world to get the best outcome of their engagement.

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend. I'm studying Mechanical Engineering and computer science. I've always loved math and sports, and I've developed the skills to help others succeed in learning both. Whether teaching my classmates, friends, or brothers in academics or soccer my goal is to make sure that learning is both fun and rewarding.

I have a high degree of fluency in French (native language is French) and have experience with extensive travel, study, and residence experience across Europe, West Africa, and Canada. My educational background includes French Baccalaureate, a BA in Business Operations and Development Psychology, a FL French Teacher Certification, and experience as a global cross cultural trainer.I use a variety of instructional strategies to provide equity and excellence to students of all ability levels, pre-school age through university and business levels. I implement diverse approaches to ensure both language and academic success. I enjoy developing interest of students in French language and bring about cultural awareness .I have excellent command over French , as it is my native language. I was perfectly tri-lingual by the age of five.I have had the opportunity through the years to teach French and English to young students as well as adults.I employ a variety of instructional techniques,standard grammar instruction, cooperative learning, reinforcement of daily instruction via homework, and a variety of short stories, literature, film, music, and authentic cultural materials. I am a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) that has obtained my bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics and completed my dietetic internship at the Ohio State. I am currently working in behavioral health as a clinical dietitian and I am passionate about helping other aspiring dietetic students.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish Education at Indiana University, and I received my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership at the University of Indianapolis. I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Hispanic Linguistics. I have been teaching high school Spanish for 11 years. I have lots of experience teaching upper level/college level Spanish at the high school level. I tutor Spanish and am available to help you with your learning needs.I love teaching Spanish because I am passionate about the language, people, history, and culture. I was inspired to obtain my degree in Spanish after studying at the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. I like to teach in a cooperative learning environment because I believe that students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. In my sessions, I will teach you the content and then we will do several different types of activities to master the content. I have several interests outside of the classroom. Some of my interests include: watching football, IU basketball, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. I am currently a senior at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. I mainly focus on getting a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with outlook of having a career involving Computer Architecture. I started tutoring in middle school and high school when my younger brother started school in elementary and haven't stopped since then. I've also helped large group of kids in the age group of 8-12 on an educational version of Minecraft throughout all 4 years of high school. As an up and coming engineer, mathematics are the bread and butter of my learning experience at Rose-Hulman and I continually use them until well throughout my life and beyond. Because of this, tutoring mathematics (and Java coding among other languages) gives me great joy as there's always a solution to a problem and there are infinite amount of variance as to solving said problems. Hopefully by the time the session ends, I'll be able to give the students not only a better understanding of the material, but also enjoy their time while studying by themselves. During my free time, I mainly experience many entertainment mediums such as manga, movies, and video games.

In May 2020, I earned a Bachelors of Science in biology while minoring in chemistry and Spanish.
