I'm a recent graduate from the University of Pennsylvania who studied Linguistics and Deaf Studies. I eventually hope to work towards breaking down barriers between the Deaf and hearing worlds and encouraging greater focus on reforming Deaf education practices.

Current second year law student in the NYC-Metropolitan area with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, English Literature & Legal Studies.I'm passionate about various genres of literature (American Lit, Shakespeare, 18th Century) and would love to assist in any college admissions essays or academic writing to further the future education of my students.

Taylor graduated with her PhD in linguistics in 2018. During my time at these institutions I was a teaching assistant for a variety of chemical engineering courses as well as an active tutor for Tau Beta Pi, which is an engineering honor society. I am a firm proponent of learning and understanding the mechanisms involved in solving problems as this results in a wider application of knowledge as compared to solving simply for an answer. I recall the visits made to my pediatrician during my early days. The little girl in me could not help but be mesmerized by the doctors qualities: his patience for his long hours, his kindness, his empathy, his eagerness to listen, and his intelligence. His image remained in my mind as the kind of person Id want to be, and I try to apply many of these qualities to all my interactions, whether with patients or with students that I tutor.It is part of my personal philosophy that we should take the knowledge that we acquire over time and spread it to others in an easy-to-grasp manner. For as long as I can remember, I have always been enthusiastic about teaching others what I know, for I feel that knowledge is to be shared. I am a good listener, easy to get along with, and my main goal is to make everyone I interact with feel comfortable in my presence. This means that I am very receptive to the needs of my students and I personalize the way I approach my students based on what l feel is best for them to learn and excel. For the past 10 years I have been living overseas. I've recently moved back to the US and I am currently living in Syracuse. I moved with my parents to Saudi Arabia senior year of high school, and in the interest of exposing myself to a culture different from mine, I decided to continue my higher education over there. I graduated for medical school in Saudi Arabia and I am currently working on my United States Medical Licensing Exams so I can practice medicine here in the US. Due to my educational background, I have an excellent grasp of the biological sciences and I have always been able to help others understand difficult concepts.Also while living in Saudi Arabia I had the opportunity to teach English as a second language for many years. I believe that living in a place with such a rich and unique culture, so different from our own, has given me an understanding on how to teach the English language effectively to people who were not necessarily exposed to the same cultural experiences.So if you're having trouble with your undergrad or high school science courses, or if you would like get a grasp on the English language I would be more than happy to help.
