I am a born artist. I always saw myself going into architecture (considering I loved math as well), as it is a perfect combination of art and science/math. However, I fell in love with computer science. I look a leap of faith and went for it. People called me crazy to let go of my dream, but they did not know who I really was on the inside; a little bit of everything. Eventually, I graduated as a computer engineer from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. During my journey of tackling hardware and software engineering, I was fortunate enough to be a part of a team that did research on augmenting computer science in the existing curriculum to make learning better. In doing so, we also developed our own version of LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Kit compatible with graphical programming languages. As a young lady, I hope to inspire girls of the next generations to explore the richness of computer science. I feel it is unfair that computer science is not given enough importance in middle and high school. Being new does not make it any less important than other math and science subjects. I am creative and very passionate about teaching. My most favorite areas of teaching are theoretical parts of computer science (recursion, object oriented programming, lambda calculus, data structures and algorithms), probability, discrete math, organic chemistry, geometry, digital logic designing, computer architecture. I love children of all age groups. The past two years have been so rewarding for me as I have had the honor and privilege to be able to teach in a country that is new to me, in a society that is new to me, in a culture that is new to me. My students and I, we together, have grown toward the better.
