I have been teaching and tutoring math for 31 years. In that time, I have learned the most common mistakes that students make, and can help you avoid those mistakes. My students don't just learn the steps to do to solve a problem; they learn why they are doing those steps. This way, the student understands the problem, rather than just being able to do it.I have a BS in Mathematics from The Ohio State University and an MS in Mathematics from the University of Cincinnati.My favorite subject to tutor is calculus, because I find the concept of limits to be mystical. But I enjoy teaching all levels of math, because that is my passion.Outside the classroom I like to work a special kind of crossword puzzle called cryptic crosswords, play the accordion alone or in the band Squeeze Play, and play with my two ferrets Ouizl Too and Fred.

I recently graduated with a Master of Art in teaching secondary science from Georgia State and will begin teaching full time this upcoming school year. While in school I completed a year-long, full-time clinical placement at a high school in metro Atlanta. This experience provided the opportunity to work with a variety of learners. I have a BS in Environmental Studies from Emory University and a minor in Global Health, Culture, and Society.I enjoy being active in my spare time including rowing, running, biking, and vinyasa yoga. I also spend my time volunteering with Lifeline Animal Project.

I graduated valedictorian of my class of 300 from Waukesha West High School with a 36 on my ACT and 11 "5"s on various AP tests. While at West, I competed nationally in Academic Decathlon while setting state records in Economics and Mathematics. Now, I am pursuing a Math/Stats & Computer Science B.A. at Carleton College. I love learning and helping others learn, and I live for those "ah-ha!" moments, both the ones I experience myself and those I experience through others.

I am a graduate of Rider University. I received my Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education. I am currently a middle school Language Arts Teacher. In addition to teaching Language Arts, I am a swim Coach. I became a Teacher and a Coach to inspire students and athletes the way that I was inspired as a child. It is important to me to be a positive role model and push students to achieve their goals. I have a variety of experience working with students from K-12, as well as ESL students from Italy and Portugal. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, and painting. I also enjoy hiking, live music, and spending time with my family and friends.

I have a Masters of Science in Finance and a Bachelors of Administration in Business Management and Accounting all from Sam Houston State University.I have taught and tutored students ranging from elementary to secondary and post secondary education. I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a Bachelor of Science in Spanish with the completion of all pre-medical course requirements. While I was an undergraduate student, I was fortunate to spend a year studying abroad in Seville, Spain, and thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the Spanish language and culture. After graduating from UW, I spent two years working in clinical and academic research at the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, and one year as an Emergency Medicine Scribe. I am currently a 4th year medical student applying and interviewing for residency. I am passionate about medicine and completely understand the difficulty students may face when preparing for the USMLE and COMLEX exams. Having been through the process myself, I am excited to share the tips and tricks that I learned with future physicians to help them follow their dreams and score well on their upcoming board exams. These different positions have pushed me to broaden my perspective on how to communicate with students and address the topics they do not understand. While my educational background has more than prepared me to understand the basics of the science subjects that my students were studying, my goal as an instructor reaches beyond simply teaching the lesson; I also aim to spark my student's interests in the subject and make the lesson fun for them.
