I am currently an undergraduate student at New York University. As someone who plans to work in education one day, I am extremely passionate about teaching and helping my students succeed. I love creating lesson plans, organizing work flow, communicating with my students, and growing alongside them. I'm Kenzie! I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at UT Dallas and I've been tutoring online for 4 years now. My favorite subjects to teach are math and science, but reading and writing come in a close second.

I am currently a senior at Emory University studying chemistry and applied math with a focus on inorganic chemistry. I will be available to tutor algebra, trigonometry, algebra 2, biology, chemistry, calculus, geometry, pre- calculus, and ACT prep. I started tutoring in high school and continued tutoring at Emory where I tutored general chemistry, introductory biology, and calculus for two years. Apart from academic tutoring, I am also involved in Project SHINE which teaches English to recent Atlanta immigrants. I believe that education (no matter what kind) is crucial in life, but I also strive to emphasize why something is important. In my experience, most students struggle with something because they don't understand exactly why it is important or simply do not care. I am heavily involved in academic research at Emory so I am able to help a student understand exactly why a specific subject area is important and how it is continuously applied both in the lab and in the real world to improve our lives. It's always easier to see the physical and practical applications of a subject than try to visualize its importance on paper. In my spare time I enjoy chemistry, ancient Roman history, jam bands, running, cycling, and scuba diving.

I have worked with students and tutored them in STEM subjects such as mathematics and science, and I have also helped students with history projects and essays. I am a Junior undergraduate student at Texas A&M University. I am currently in pursuit of a Computer Science Degree with a Mathematics Minor. Throughout high school and college, I have seen some peers struggle in concepts of Math due to a lack of foundational knowledge. Especially since I have been in the shoes of a high school student enrolled in higher-level math courses, I strongly believe that I have the knowledge and experience to help students grasp the important fundamentals that are required to gain a deeper understanding of Math. I am a prematriculant student at the University of Chicago. In high school I took advanced STEM courses at the University of North Texas through a high school program called the Texas Academy of Math and Science. I love taking high level math courses, but I get even more excited when I can help friends and classmates in courses I have already taken. I believe that having a solid understanding of math concepts builds you up for success in any field. I have experience as a teaching assistant in pre-calculus and calculus and have experience tutoring and assisting students in high school math, calculus, and differential equations. When preparing students for standardized tests like the ACT and SAT, I focus on filling any gaps in material and teaching new techniques for making the test easier and quicker to take. I have used and perfected these techniques while taking the ACT and SAT myself and have had success on both tests. I am also a National Merit Finalist.

I am also the oldest of four, and have helped them learn their school subjects, all with a range of before Pre-K through middle school. I've also helped my classmates achieve high grades on their essays, and I helped out as an editor/grader for a class that I took in high school.
