I graduated from Hood College with my B.A. in Psychology. I then went on and completed my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University School of Education. I am currently a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland. I work for a non-profit organization for a program that provides services to children in Montgomery County public schools, and work in a middle school in Rockville providing individual and group therapy to the students and their families. My current role as a therapist in the school, often encompasses several different aspects, not just therapy sessions. I run groups, attend IEP meetings, and often help with academic clubs after school run by our program. I have always enjoyed working with children and adolescents of all ages. I also have experience working with children who are diagnosed with ADHD. My experience with tutoring ranges from helping out the neighborhood children, to working after school 1:1 with a group of students who need strict and extra support for their classes. I have always had a passion for reading and literature, and have enjoyed writing essays. My strengths include Psychology and Counseling, and English and writing.
