I am currently a Registered Dietitian with my own private practice in Atlanta. I studied Dietetics and did my Internship at Life University. I tutored accelerated Chemistry while in school and I currently am a Preceptor for dietetic students. I love mentoring students using examples that make sense to them. I like helping people to that "aha" moment when it finally clicks and they really get it. I know what it takes to study for and pass the RD exam. I'd like to help you do it too!

I am currently a graduate student at the Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences - New Brunswick/Piscataway campus. Although I am pursuing a medical career, I am a firm advocate of education. In terms of how my belief meshes with my interest in medicine, patient education should play a large part in patient care. Education leads a greater understanding of underlying health issues, causes, and risks which leads to a greater chance in patient compliance.However, before I even came to be where I am now, education has always been a priority for me. My parents are immigrants from a South Korea that was still developing. Thus, they work and struggle in the United States for the sake of their children's education though they themselves do not have more than a high school education - if even that. I was raised to pursue higher education, but once I graduated college and started working during my gap year, I truly came to realize the importance of education and appreciate the academic opportunities I have had thus far. Without education, without a solid foundation in the basics that are later built upon in college and university, there is no personal or societal progress.

I have a Bachelors Degree from Cal State- LA in Physics and am pursuing on a Masters Degree in Engineering. I was a member of the Speech and Debate Team as an undergraduate student. I relate well to children and young adults, and they respond positively. I taught physics labs at Cal State LA for several years, and have also worked as a private tutor in subjects such as math, science, and French. I love teaching!

I am very curious about almost everything and have long aspired to be a Renaissance Man. I became an educator because I love learning new things and helping others. I earned my B.S. in Social Science Education, an M.Ed. in Secondary Education, and an M.S. in Information Systems (business-technology). I grew up speaking Spanish, then I studied it from 6th grade until the end of my college years. I majored in Spanish and Education for my B.A. from Fisk University and furthered my studies to include Humanities for my M.A. from Old Dominion University. I love teaching Spanish, which is what I currently do in four schools and tutor in my off time. I love to read books, crochet, and play with my toy poodles. Education is very important to me and I love to help people understand how to speak, read, and write Spanish.

I have been able to apply my coding skills at high-impact companies like Google and Lockheed Martin. Computer programming is one of my biggest passions, and I find it rewarding to pass on my knowledge to inquisitive learners. Through the various college-level courses I've taken in pursuit of my degree, I've earned an A in several Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics classes.As someone who has scored over 1400 on the SAT, I take pride in the fact that I've taken the SAT multiple times in order to earn that score. Knowing the ins and outs of such a high-stakes exam can be a daunting task. I'm here to help students realize that with a few tips and tricks and some time management skills, they will be on the right path to success.

Math has always been a daunting subject to learn but really it is like a puzzle and there is always some hidden pattern lying within the question. My job is to help you break that stigma associated with Math by changing the way you approach the problem. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics and was able to do so at an online university. It takes discipline teaching yourself a subject online and that is why I want to help you so you are not alone.
