When I was in high school, I attended the Science Mathematics Computer Science Magnet Program at Poolesville High School and took advanced courses in science, mathematics, and computer science. When I was in middle and high school, I spent a couple of summers tutoring elementary school students in Mathematics and English. During my undergraduate years, I was a teaching assistant for Plant Biology course for nonscience students and Biological Sciences for Pre-med students. For the past 5 years, I have tutored for more than 110 hours in a variety of subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Biostatistics, AP Human Geography, Anatomy, AP BC Calculus, AP US History, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and Physics, just to name a few. I have also tutored Biochemistry to a medical student and undergraduate students.I believe it is important to adapt my teaching style to the subject matter and to the student's learning style.

I am a Mechanical Engineer. At the moment though, I have decided to change directions and pursue a career in medicine. As I go to school part time and prepare for my MCAT, I am tutoring physics, mathematics, biology, and chemistry, here at Varsity Tutors with my spare time.I graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and then obtained my Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University.I'm able to tutor physics, math, chemistry, and biology from grades 7-12 and the collegiate level. For those looking to get straight A's throughout the semester or ace the regents, let's start the year off on the right foot.My teaching methods are excellent, and unlike most tutors, I bring fun and excitement to the subject, because we all know how boring the physical and biological sciences can be at times. Using various analogies and examples, I find that I capture my students attention and bring the best out of them. Most importantly, I look forward to helping my students, allowing them to excel and achieve their goals. After being tutored by me, you will be believe me when I say, "The Sky Is The Limit."

Exhausted, my legs swollen, sweating during my training as a doctor. My legs were giving out a bit during long hours of surgery. It did not bother, because of the immense feeling of gratification that comes with applying my complex knowledge to comfort, heal, and help others. It is through these experiences, feel alive, refreshed, and invigorated despite long working hours. I am reliable and trustworthy, always ready to work as long as it takes to get the work done. I volunteered at Hennepin county medical center, did observerships under renowned doctors. I got a job as a clinical research associate in clinical anesthesia and cardiothoracic surgery with multiple publications. I have always been passionate about being a surgeon. When I started my residency preliminary in general surgery, it was hectic because I was expected to be at 2 or 3 places at one particular time or do 2 or 3 things at one point. In the beginning, I felt, how was it even humanly possible? Weeks later, I learned that it was possible with patience, prioritizing, time management, and strategizing everything we do, be it the studies or the work.Every experience has taught me the skills I need, to listen and be able to hear even when the other person is silent, hesitant, or shy, I learned to be patient when things don't go the way I would want when it comes to certain medical situations or learning/reading about a medical condition but at the same time taught me perseverance, persistence, and motivation to find other ways to improve. I would use the same technique in teaching. If one method does not work, not to get depressed or upset but explore different approaches. I have always felt joyful in sharing my knowledge, whether it is healing a patient or teaching a rising student or a fellow student. I felt the field's necessary traits were more organic to my personality. I believe that learning has to be more visual, fun, and like storytelling. Many of us still remember our favorite movie/book and how the main lead had kicked so many bad guys. Yes, we have to learn and make every subject into our favorite movies/stories. I am here to help you with that.

Currently I am teaching reading to Spanish speaking students in the US.I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with my BA in Law. My first two years of college were focused on Early childhood and Special Education. My last two years I switched to Pre-Law.I have taught children for over 30 years in just about every subject and in about every situation. I have mainly taught in small group settings with homeschooling and in private homeschool groups of up to 100 children. I have also taught in adult small groups and church based schools for children.I have had a lot of first hand experience teaching children with autism and dyslexia. I understand the struggles that children can have with this and every small step, every gain is victory in my eyes!I like to celebrate, sing, clap and cheer on my students. I want each child to know that they have a purpose, plan and destiny ahead of them. I want to help them even if it is a small bit, along that way.
