I just recently moved to New Jersey for a teaching position. I am originally from Pennsylvania where I attended high school and graduated in 2008 with 22 college credits. I was active in soccer, dance, FBLA, FTA, the National Honor Society, and SADD. After high school, I attended Penn State and earned a BS degree in Secondary Education with the option of Chemistry in December of 2011.I am currently a high school Chemistry teacher in Keansburg, NJ. I am certified in Chemistry and General Science, but have had experience in tutoring Math, Chemistry, and Biology. Every Tuesday, I spend two and a half hours after school helping students with any subject in our school library.I truly believe the most effective learning environment begins with building relationships. I want to know what resources my students have access to, where they come from, and what they enjoy doing. This allows me to adapt my teaching style for each student and to create examples that students can relate to by using their skills and interests. Hi there! I'm Mrs. Golding! :) I have over 10 years experience in education. Most of that time has been in Third Grade but I also have experience in Second Grade and Kindergarten. I have extensive experience teaching second and third grade reading and writing. I am also certified in middle school language arts as well. Teaching is my passion and I always go above and beyond to make sure my students feel seen, heard and appreciated while they are in my care. :)

I believe education is one of the most important tools a person can have in life. Every child deserves to receive the best education possible, regardless of special needs. Being placed in the least restrictive environment, gaining necessary life skills and learning how to relate and communicate with people from different walks of life is imperative to the academic growth and success of any student. I have taught children with special needs in several school districts for over ten years. It has always been my passion to help each child discover their individual gifts and talents and to reach their full potential.

I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology/Elementary Education with Special Education (dual certified) from Georgian Court University, NJ. I have a passion for teaching and a strong desire to provide students with enthusiasm for learning. Since graduation I have been a substitute teacher for students in elementary and middle schools. Having observed and taught students with diverse backgrounds, I have gained proficiency in designing and implementing differentiated lessons. I believe in using a wide range of strategies and the use of technology to make the lessons more engaging and interesting. As an educator I believe that education encompasses not only academics but social and emotional learning.My teaching philosophy is to provide students will all the opportunities to get involved in their learning process. In my spare time I love to read, doing creative work and talking to people.

I am a college freshman majoring in Mathematics and Astrophysics, and minoring in Computer Science. In Math, I have taken Linear Algebra and up to (and including) Calculus 4. In Physics, I have taken high level Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism classes.

I am a certified math teacher and have worked for over nine years as a tutor. I have worked with children in elementary school, middle school, high school and students in college. I have tutored Basic Math. Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Pre-Calculus. I enjoy working with students, making the learning process fun and dynamic.I earned my Bachelor's Degree at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ and have taken Post-Graduate courses at Rutgers University.I enjoy nature - hiking, walking, and exploring. By tutoring people I was close in age with, I was able to better understand their struggles and confusions.I continued in university where I would help friends through subjects I recently completed and walk through concepts that the teacher struggled to make relatable.Even as an engineer in the professional world today, I am constantly teaching other whether it is explaining an idea I have or a way something should be done. (M.Sc in Human Nutrition 21', B.Sc - Honors in Cellular & Molecular Biology 20'), and ardent student building a medical practice engaged in a humanitarian discipline. I love teaching, sharing my passion for health & physiology; biology, and revisiting concepts on anything pertinent to medicine, mathematics (calculus, statistics, epidemiology), and writing prose. I am the philosophical type of student-motivator, which to me means that I place the highest value in transforming difficult concepts into simpler, understandable processes. It is my desire to evoke a detailed, precise, imaginative explanation, opening up our minds in the session to true learning... not just the easy facts you'd attain for free a Google search away. After sessions I've had previously, students find the hardcore memorization much easier to handle, and importantly, relatable to their everyday life.
