I am passionate about students learning the wonderful Spanish language! I teach all levels of Spanish, including Conversational Spanish and SAT Subject Tests. While I am not Hispanic, I took Spanish classes every year from the second grade through high school. I then went to Rice University for college, where I took a Spanish class every semester, including a medical Spanish interpreting internship. After that I went to medical school, where I worked as a Spanish medical interpreter for doctors and launched a Medical Spanish curriculum. I also love movies, music, and books in Spanish. I know what it's like approaching this language from the outside, and I have a lot of helpful tricks to break down and simplify the language. I will not only help you ace your tests but also develop a fluency and love for the language! I love what I do so I am a fun, patient, and effective learning partner.

I am still asked by my friends to help them with their math and chemistry homework. I get calls from home asking if I can get on Skype to explain something, and I am always happy to oblige. I understand that my education is a privilege, and I want to do my part to help every person have the same opportunities that I had.

I am a current law student at Washington University in St. Louis and also graduated summa cum laude from their undergraduate program in 2014. I have dual citizenship with the US and Chile, and my hispanic roots have always been very important to me. I grew up speaking Spanish but have also dedicated a significant portion of my academic studies to Spanish language and literature as well. My unusual double major is a result of my inability to choose a favorite subject--I love literature and science! This love of learning translates naturally to my role as a tutor.
