I graduated with the my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and my MBA. I love mathematics and constantly get amazed by its power to explain the universe. It is through this endeavor that I landed myself in the field of engineering, and I became an Electrical Engineer. I sincerely believe that knowledge expands by sharing with others. So, I became a tutor and strive to make my students as excited about Mathematics as I am!

I graduated from University of Colorado-Boulder in May 2014 with Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude in Physics with a second major in English. Since graduation, I have worked for the Physics Education Research Group at JILA and helped run and organize Partnerships for Informal Science Education in the Community, a inquiry-based physics education program that focuses on espousing scientific principles throughout the community and making physics and physicists more accessible to elementary and middle school students. I am well-versed in a wide array of subjects, primarily in Physics, Math, and English. At CU-Boulder, my dualistic double major provided me with interaction with many different walks of life as well as learning and teaching styles, in both primarily objective and primarily subjective fields. As such, I am extremely well-equipped to tutor students whose academic focus or optimal learning style does not necessarily align best with the subject at hand. I am also happy to tutor for the Physics GRE, a test that budding physicists are required to take that is very unlike any physics test required throughout college, and I have created extensive resources for this test in my own studies. Outside of academic pursuits, I am an avid outdoorsman, particularly in rock climbing, a guitarist, and a published poet.

There are so many simple tricks to writing amazing essays an stories that I love to share!Whenever I'm not teaching or planning fun activities and lessons, I can be found hiking, camping, watching one of my many favorite TV shows, practicing martial arts, attending comic conventions, traveling overseas, or reading comic books and novels.I believe every student can succeed. I love learning, and helping students to love it too. As a tutor I patiently use questioning strategies, while creating a safe learning learning environment for my students to take academic risks.

I am very passionate about education, and as you can see from my own educational history, I truly love being a student myself. I love learning and taking on new challenges and this is why being a tutor means so much to me personally. If I can help someone else achieve their dreams and educational goals, it makes all the work I have put into my own education even more worth it. I have worked with students in a variety of settings, including a Faculty Instructor position and tutoring students for NCLEX prep. I have worked with students of all ages and have a passion for education that shows in my approach to tutoring. I aspire to help my students reach their goals, while also building confidence that will help in their future profession. I believe that every student learns differently, and I am very willing to adapt my approach to meet the needs of each specific student in order to achieve their educational goals.I am currently working as a BSN Instructor in both clinical and lab simulation environments, and also am a doctoral candidate at the University of Central Florida earning my DNP in Advanced Practice Nursing. My current degrees include a BA in Forensic Anthropology (2006), AS in Mortuary Science (2008), AS in Nursing (2016), BS in Nursing (2017), MS in Nursing (2020). My MS in Nursing was to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and I will be sitting for board certification in March 2021. I also hold a Crime Scene Investigation (2006) and an Infant & Family Mental Health Certificate (2020). My educational history was at the University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, St. Petersburg College, and Pasco-Hernando State College.I tutor mostly nursing focused courses, as this is my area of expertise.
