I have also studied abroad as a fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. I have over ten years of experience as an Affiliate professor at the graduate and undergraduate levels and have years of experience working with youth in both formal and informal settings. I have tutored students in multiple subjects and have written more college references than I can remember. I am the father of high school all-American athletes and have helped them navigate those waters. I am comfortable teaching a wide range of subjects, but my greatest areas of expertise are Ancient & Modern History, English and Literature, Religion, Psychology and Writing. In this position, I collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote student development. My duties include providing progress reports and small group instruction for my students on a daily basis. I also set up motivational programs for my students to be carried out during our sessions and in their general education classrooms. By teaming up with parents and teachers, I help each one of my students stay organized and motivated to do well in school.During my small group instruction sessions, I help my students by using games and songs to study pertinent information. I am patient, organized, and have a great amount of experience working with children. I also incorporate Gardners Multiple Intelligences into my sessions to cater to the learning styles of each of my students. I believe that every student can succeed when they are provided with the right tools by a knowledgeable motivator.
